Just thought I would be the stick to stir the drink or something like that. Because things can only get better with feedback  Not that it was bad.

I really liked the patio where you could drink. Lots of kewl people to talk to our side. Where it was impossible to talk inside. And what a drink selection:) I give it one and 1/2 thumbs up.

Great to see Tatoo Jay in town, and all my monthly other peeps:)

PS The sofa chairs were nice and comfy too.

The ambience was pretty good, the furniture was great, the turnout was great, with spill over into the patio...

The bar left something to be said, the patio would be pretty useless in a torrential rainstorm, and someone kept stealing my beers...

All in all I'd give it 3 out of 5 staples.

Fatastic Sanctus! It was very roomy but still a crowded danced floor. That rocked.

Saw lots of peole I haven't seen in a long time.

Sanctus women are the best looking women in all the world.

Great selection by our DJ's. Loved the industrial cover set. :-)

I'm looking down and I realize that I don't have any knees left!!!!

Ok I'll give it a :D sticker... In fact I'll give it two thumbs up

The thing with the bar, they had my favorite beer... but James told me that they could get an even better import selection should we need it.

I think this was the most at home I've felt at a Sanctus yet. Bravo!

And the after Sanctus party was spectacular! Holy moly, how many were there??? Like 40 of us or so at Denny's... Bravo! Bravo!!

OK, complaint:
That is the ugliest purple ever in the bathroom. :P
A less muddy shade, maybe a darker and less yelow purple, please?

I did love the place but I just couldn't get into a party/dance mood last night. Sorry for anyone I didn't say hi or bye to. I enjoyed it while I was there and wish I had been in a mood to stay longer. It was nice to see everyone though.

Ok my OPINION on the Blue Cats venue is that I rather liked it. My only complaint is the bar. I think the amount of mixed drink that you receive for the price is worse than what Fairbanks charged. Yes, the beer prices are good, but I seldom drink beer. I paid $6 for a drink that was served in one of the small plastic cups and then it was only half full. At that rate, I'll not be able to afford Sanctus to often.

my first event in Knoxville was great. the outside patio was really great, especially because of the speakers set up so you could still here what was being played, meaning you didn't really feel that removed by being outside. there was also plenty of room inside and the video screen was cool.

Thus far I agree with everything thus posted....So I'll add the one thing that I think has been neglected.

THERE WAS AIR CONDITIONING!!!!!!!!!!

Inside it was cool and non-humid. WONDERFUL!

I am certain that the balcony underconstruction aided in this since it gave the hot air someplace to go. I am certain it was quite hot up there.

It was superior to Fairbanks in every way except the bar. $2.75 for an Icehouse is not "good beer pricing". And Cathy's mixed drinks had only a decent amount of alcohol. $4.50 for an amaretto sour that barely has one shot of amaretto is pretty lame.

Oh, and it was really lame that everyone who sat on the couches seemed to just park themselves there and not move all night. Sitting on those wooden stools is painful for the body-fat impaired like myself.

The ability to go outside is very good.

And it seems like having it at Blue Cats brought in a whole lot of new people. Whether that's a good thing or not is up to the individual to decide, I suppose.

they had porter..YAY!!! but, they didn't actually have it...*grr*

The layout was is better now then I remember CANDY to be...

I personally liked the TARDIS-esque phone booth outside.

At first the PA was way to loud...Then it was modified expertly.

Kudos to the good sets.....I freaked when I heard the Lovage being played..But then I am a sucka fer Mike Patton. Also, already playing the Dave Gahan solo stuff was refreshing to hear...We didn't have to wait a year for it!

Suxs though that we had to leave early.

Also....If you leaned up against the pos ton the dance floor...Yummm...Vibrations!...Naughty!

Let's hope for another night there!!!!!!!!

I liked this place a lot better than fairbanks. I wish i could have stayed longer, but I wasn't really feeling very social last night.

Sorry all, I hope we go back there next time, and i'm hoping i'll be in better moods.

Well if I may add my random ideas and thoughts, even though I didnt stay to long, It was nice, the construction sucked, I want my money back on my drink, Thats my problem, 5 and some change for a drop of something? The dance floor was nice, the chick who grabbed my whip was nice, I liked being able to go outside and talk, and then inside to dance, even the little sprinkle of rain wasnt bad.
Thats my thoughts, but then what do I know?

my opinion is this:
THAT BAR WILL KILL SANCTUS IF WE KEEP HOLDING IT THERE. the beer prices are pricey, but at least the beer is THERE....
the bar man, can we at least talk to them about that if we go back? all freakin night people bitched about the bar. watch it drive people away.
OTHER THAN THE BAR....
i liked the place, but not as much as the old venue. my take on the place was i loved the patio area, the floor was a good size, comfy seating, good amount of space.... and it wasnt an inferno. all in all, its got its ups and downs. id love to go there more ... but THE DAMN BAR. junkie :kill: bar. prices and amounts. if that becomes the new venue, PLEASE TALK TO THEM ABOUT THIS. but i would recommend trying other venues if possible before setting it there....
i did ab-so-fucking-lute-ly wonderful time last night though.... WOOHOO!

The bar prices DID suck.
Ivey's Cape Cods are twice as big, twice as potent, and not jacked up with too much ice, for the same price.

junkie is right, those bar prices and weak drinks will kill Sanctus - can anyone sit these people down and get the bar issues fixed?
