Howdy, my name is Dan. I'm a new physics Grad student at UTK. I just moved here from Florida with my fiancee, Anna. We don't really know the area or anyone yet, but this town seems really nice.

So, I guess that's it.

Oh... and tonight I saw some folks at McDonald's who I assume are members of this board. I was at the ATM and you were making jokes about the Cure and such. So, yeah that was me. Hi.

Nope, not everyone who jokes about the Cure and wears black is on this board. But maybe..

Welcome to KnoxVegas.

I saw a spooky looking couple at the Three Rivers Market and at Lawson McGhee library...would it have been you?

Yeah, that was us at the library and co-op. Spooky looking? I'm flattered. ;)

Thanks for the welcome, everyone. I'm sure we'll have plenty of wonderful adventures here.

Yeah, I wanted to welcome you and point you to the board, but I was looking more "slightly dark archaeologist single mom trying to homeschool and buy pinenuts" those two days. Just wasn't very presentable.

Oh, I know how that is. I doubt I looked very presentable myself. That was literally the first day we set foot in town after a 9 hour drive and a fiasco with our apartment. Suffice it to say I'm usually a lot daintier.

Well, I will say I believe TN is a lot better than Florida....which in my opinion is mostly rednecks and old people. Are you all living on campus?

I graduated 1.5 year ago from UT and continue to work for them, enjoy the Big Orange Screw.

Nah, got an apartment. Fairly close to campus though, so I can just walk everyday.
