See I've been wanting to rent it, and I've heard nothing about it. I can't stand to waste money. I'm sure Jacob's reccomendation is most accurate. Although, I still hate Peter Jackson...

I've technically seen over half of his films...and not liked them. If half of your films suck...you suck. That's 50% of your life's work.
It's ok, Jacob, we just have to understand that not everyone is as brilliant as us...err...me

So I finsihed watching it today. I found it refreshing in the industry of major film making...espicially with so many pieces of shit coming out left and right. There is a lot to keep up with, but the humor was definetly well placed and written. I didn't get the chance to see who wrote it, but I was wondering if it was a first timer with a major film...It did wrap up rather nicely though...
I liked it, and I hate most movies...

the writer/director was shane black. (i think that's his name) he wrote lethal weapon but this was his first time directing.

hmm...That's kind of intresting. I figured it was a first time writer and a senior director. The writing, while I loved it, seemed very real...like a casual conversation in a bar...but the humor (and it's placement) seemed very film school esque. However, that's just my take on it.

OK. Finally saw this. It was OK. Not bad, but not great. However, there was one scene that literally made me spit my beer out it was so shockingly funny. I'd almost be willing to buy this just to watch this one scene again:
Girl: "So what do you do?"
Harry: "I'm retired. Invented dice. What do you do?"
Girl: "I'm an actress." Cut to scene...
