Bush Misunderestimated Again

"President Bush has quietly claimed the authority to disobey more than 750 laws enacted since he took office, asserting that he has the power to set aside any statute passed by Congress when it conflicts with his interpretation of the Constitution."

This schmuck is refusing to veto, instead claiming the right to ignore any law passed that he doesn't agree with personally.

Thjere was a pool put out the other day that said something like 63% of Americans think that Clinton was more honest during his time as president than George W. Bush...

I wonder if they realized that Clinton lied on NATIONAL TELEVISION more than once...

It's sad that the people of the greaest country in the world have such a corrupt government...

You should incorperate a big red cape in your costume if you are going to the KG Ball! That would be priceless.

Heh..I might have to do that, but I still don't know if we are going to be able to make it out. We have a few parties to attend at the end of May, and countless birthday presents to buy ( most of my families birthday's are in May and December)... but we'll see ;)

As for everyone else...Bush is speaking at 8 pm EST tonight. I know that the major networks will be covering it, and he is supposed to address the NSA collection of phone calls from millions of Americans that they recieved from Bellsouth, Verzion, and AT&T which includes T-Mobile. He is also expected to talk about the United States plan on immigration...

Ha, nooo shit... i'd rather clean my bathroom by tongue than listen to one of his coke-fueled speeches...

Well, he didn't address the NSA issue. That really bothered me. I was hoping that while he had the time that he would at least attempt to calm the waters.

Immigration reform...I hate to say it, but parts of it are very practical. People are all up in arms about the National Guard being sent out to help, but at least its on our land. I don't have the speech in front of me, but he talked about getting rid of the "Catch and Release" program...THANK FUCKING GOD! If someone is illegially coming into the states, I'm sure they are going to show up for their court hearing...wait. no.

He also announced the plan to have 6,000 more border patrolmen by the end of 2008.

I don't know how I feel about letting people who have lived here longer stay, though. If they have children that are legals...I can understand, but even then they should be forced to go though a background check, and still have some sort of time limit to pass the test...or else deport. I don't think it's fair to allow people to stay here illegally, when there are people waiting in other countries, studying, and waiting somemore. We shouldn't reward people who enter this country by breaking the law...what kind of precident does that give them to respect the law?
