I wish I knew Photoshop so I could make a superhero picture of Tom...Watch out kids MySpace will rat you out faster than a crack head for a 20...
The good news is that in a couple of years none of the kids will remember Colmbine, because they were too young...unless the schools start teaching it.

i was in high school when columbine happened. and the treatment that caused those 2 dumbasses too shoot up their school did not improve any, in fact, it only got worse.
that day, i was actually called to the office and they asked me if i had ever thought about performing violent acts to people at the school.
the school system is even worse now than it was then. i feel sorry for the kids who are growing up now. any thought of individuality is crushed with the excusing being that "its a distraction for the other students" or "that makes it to easy to sneak a weapon into school". children should be raised to be prepared for the real world once they get out of highschool. but people have gotten so ridiculously paranoid that high school does not reflect the real world what so ever leaving people who graduate in shock and not knowing what to do with themselves.
i grew up playing Doom, Quake, Heretic, and other old school violent games. I still love PvP violent games. And the thought of bringing a gun to school or work and shooting people has never seriously crossed my mind.
Its the close minded bigotry that society has. If you just let the kid wear his black cloths, baggy pants, spike necklaces and whatnot they will eventually grow out of it or learn that there is a time and place for everything. Instead of mandating that they don't, which in turn, will cause them to feel repressed and full of angst.
it is not soley the fault of the 2 teens at columbine. although, there is no excuse for their level of retaliation, but some responsibility does fall on those who mistreated and judged them and the archaic system that our schools are based on.

Thanks karmakaze I think we needed that.

I'm just glad I graduated before the whole "shoot up the school" fad started.

columbine happened my senior year, last semester.
they put a petition to remove me from school, tried to kickme out, let me finish in night school.
i called the aclu, fixed that shit quick.
columbine style shit has happened before, the media just hadnt ran with it like that. not that good of a death toll i guess.
besides, i believe everything i read in myspace bulletins
people are targetting the wrong things
target the school systems and the parents.
target the media for creating this style of thinking
target soical elitism that forms from being told what to do and some kids doing it
fuck the good guy in the ass and youll solve the problem.

The teachers/staff rarely give a flying fuck now if a kid is being bullied... So it's only natural to fend for oneself, just not necessarily by completely annihilating the offender... but if the kid hasn't any clue what to do to stop the bullying and is being forced to remain in that environment for an extended period of time, I could see how someone would finally explode. So yeah, as long as that's going on under everyone's noses, it's definitely wise to have that kind of help available...
