[quote]Romero says new Dead film on the way
Exclusive: George on his next projects
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We spoke to our old pal, legendary horror film director George A. Romero, ooh, about an hour ago, ostensibly to talk about the upcoming DVD release of Land Of The Dead (out on Boxing Day, folks).
But what kind of movie news service would we be if we didn’t take the time to ask him about his upcoming movies – and, to our surprise, the ever-affable Romero told us that a fifth Dead movie is very much on the cards.
“Now that Land of the Dead did so well in European markets and Japan, and the DVD is flying off shelves, there’s talk of a sequel,â€

No Sir...I don't like it. It is sacrilage that a Dead movie show us what happened to the survivors. It has never been done before, and I reserve my right as a Grumpy Old Man to violently resist any and all new fangled changes to my old fangled zombie movies.
Now, if it was following the further exploits of another group of "survivors," Big Daddy's band, and their quest for flesh, you would have my interest.

I get where your coming from.
At least he is getting to do another "...of the dead" film, which makes me happy.

Point. Not that I thought Land was outta the park. It was nice to see him back in his element though, and with a new one coming hot on its heels, I'm hoping Land was just a warmup. It had some good gore and good zombie concepts, but the characters just left me cold. What a boring group to be continuing on with. Maybe they'll all be killed in a zombie onslaught in the begining, except for Asia, and she'll meet up with Fran and Peter!
I know, keep dreaming. I'll pay to see whatever he does. I may bitch and complain a lot, but only because I care. I want to see him succeed beyond my wildest expectations.
Here's hoping the zombie videogame he is overseeing is phenomenal as well.

its an FPS that has been delayed over a year now.
typically, the longer it takes them to work on an FPS, the better they get.
heres hoping.

i could have done w/out most of the characters in land save for dennis & asia(who proves my point that if you wear good shoes you can survive),more of asia wouldn't have been bad...as long as george keeps working it's a good thing,i hear he's also going to be the director behind some king adaptations(girl who loved tom gordon i think is one)...

I wouldn't say that development delays are always the greatest thing...
