OK...i'll admit....at first, i was repulsed at the so-called related theme to 9-11. i, at first, found it very disrespectful to those that lost their lives and the families.....however, with the current idea of hurricane relief help, im for it!!! i KNOW it wasn't meant this way, but the first intitial post came across, to me, as making fun. Sorry if i jumped to conclusions.

There is no relation to the 9/11 tragedy and the theme for this Sanctus other than the date!
This was the only date we could get for sanctus this month, and only have a short time to promote it. Thus the 911 emergency... get the word out.
Some people will always see 911, 9/11, or Sept 11th and always relate it to the twin towers tragedy. Nothing we could try for this one was likely to change that. This made us very apprehensive about the date, but it was that or no Sept Sanctus.
I am glad that with some fund raising we are planning for, at his event for the hurricane relief, we can put something positive on the sept 11th date this year.
Again to anyone who may have associated the sanctus theme with the twin towers... it isn't!
Come out join the fun and lets raise a litte bit of funds for Katrina victoms..... Thanks

It seems appropriate to gather on the 11th & do an emergency theme this month. We need to come out & enjoy an opportunity to gather & socialize in a safe place where we don't have survival fears like so many of our southern neighbors. While there, we should show our gratitude financially with donations. Let's gather as a community & dig deep to help out other communities who don't have such options right now. Perhaps we could give out flyers with suggested donation sites & lists of the most needed items & where to donate them. Jay has posted some of this info online already, but not everyone who attends Sanctus has online access & may benefit from the info. Also, its good to celebrate life on behalf of those who no longer have it to enjoy. My 2 cents.

First off all, I am not trying to start a flame war. I know some - a lot - will be offended by this post. My hope is simply that maybe a few will be like, "Wow, that's right!"
Or even be like, "Hey, that's remotely close to the truth as I see it."
And maybe some will be offended, but realize that some of us have our own individual opinions and accept that, even if they're not happy with it.
I also know this is likely to not just be dumpsterized, but deleted. It hurts too many people. It hits too many people way too close to home.
These reasons are exactly why I have to say it.
Hats off to you guys. You have to be the best sports in the world. You put up with have a million gross links. You know I love ya.
However, I think maybe people need to think more about the here and now - yes, a terrible tragedy happened one summer/autumn morning (you are welcome to bitch about specifics - hey, it smelled like autumn to me) and a lot of people were hurt.
Yes, some were killed, some were crippled, I'm not for a moment ignoring that.
But a lot of people, people who had/have had jack-fucking-shit to do with the entire incident were mortified. Perhaps I'm too idealistic, but I would like to think that they were hurt because someone else besides themselves was being assaulted. Or attacked, Or killed.
Those who are surviving - yes, I say it that way because I realize that a lot of you are out there fucking taking care of what needs to be taken care of - but those who are living should be fucking glad they're living, be fucking glad that they're able to exist without a foreign government hopping in and saying, "bitch, this is how you're supposed to be doing things"
And most are. Some of them, they're wondering why the fuck we're shooting people in Iraq, why the fuck we're sending people out there.
Huh. Tough fucking question.
I'm a peace monger. By that I mean I'll fucking shoot you to make sure that some pacifist out there can get his spiritual sperm into some other pacifist's cooch.
Peace and love, don't push and shove. All that fucking jazz. H owever, when someone starts yelling jihad over some stupid shit... like the white devil chewing tobacco in a religious center...
Well, ok. Fine. Normal people can work through these things. For example:
One guy/gal might say, "My honor was stepped on by your drunken dog of a son's libdo."
The other guy/gal might say, "Doh, sorry man. Here, have some nachos. They make me feel good, and hell, at least the farts they give you will keep the bugs away."
And then they turn a ritual slaying into a frat party: annoying as hell, but nobody important gets hurt.
That's why it's worth it. Not the moron in the ugly coat, and not the stupid fuck in the sequins. It's because of the tacos. You can eat half a ton of fucking tacos now, and people are like, "Dude, you're a fatass, but I'll blow you because you can afford half a ton of tacos a week."
So c'mon motherfuckers. Make a run for the border. Just don't trip on junkie's dongle. He's always leaving it where some drunk piece of shit can trip over it.
Viva, la (_o_)!
(Don't forgive me, forget me, I'm drunk, and should probably not be at a computer right now, let alone one with nice, sexy, sleek wireless access....)

I want your permission to turn this into a spoken word slow industrial tribute to the american dream. I happen to be one of those saddened by recent events, but at the say time in your own weird little way you have summed up the situation. i would also like it to be said by Brak.
