From the show:
ABC TV is searching for unique goth families for our family show, "Wife Swap."
"Wife Swap" can sound scary to anyone who hasn't seen it, so let me explain.
The premise is simple: two moms from two very different families get the
opportunity to swap places (but not bedrooms! everyone has their own!) for a
week to experience a different lifestyle, culture, philosophy, family dynamic,
etc. - and to see what they can teach another family about their own! It's a
really great way to break down stereotypes, explore new hobbies and cultures,
and really educate middle America about any "unconventional" lifestyles. The
show is a ten day commitment but only a week of that time is spent in a "swap."
The first few days of the show are with everyone in their own families,
following their daily routines so we can see what their lifestyle is like and
why they're passionate about it. Each mom has to be away from her family and
work for 5 working days so the show generously compensates each family
financially as a thank-you for that lost time.

So what do you think?

First thing I'd do would be to e-mail ABC and see if it was on the up and up. Then I'd laugh my ass off because there is very rarely such a thing as a "goth family"

Just another way for the mainstream to make money on goth subcultural. But still I would like to see what happens.
