Greetings from Florida! I have a simple question but unsure who to contact so I thought I would post here. I am currently in an electro/industrial band ( we are Mir'ram) in Florida. (Yes, it finally happened!) (The "metal thing?" well, everyone makes mistakes, oh yes they do!!! Oh yes I did, in many ways! lol...)
I am getting back to my "roots" so to speak. Anyway, we are working on a cd/demo for release in the summer and I am wondering if any live bands perform at any goth nights in Knox? Listening parties? We have a couple dates in Florida so far but I still have my entire family and friends in Knox and I visit as much as I can. Oh how nice to visit and perform huh? So, if anyone would have any contact numbers etc, let me know:)
It is very powerful music complete with lights (thanks to Dan, programmer and sound man)...
thanks again guys:)

Laura

P.S. I found footage of the first Sanctus goth night, November 1, 2001...lol...funny stuff.

I'll PM you some numbers later today...I can get you a definite spot here in Knox...I may even be able to set you up with a pretty decent opening or headlining band...A few Underground Industrial bands head through here...I'll shoot that to ya later...

Um...Industrial?...Knoxville?...Technically, there aren't any...There are some in progress that I know of...But none that are out making the 'rounds'...The only one that I can think of that's even close is SEXCOPTER RUL...It's a bit offbeat...& just really fuct-up...But there are alot of people that would show up for a show of those sorts...I'll PM you later...

Aside from the usual one or two man industrial band with a DAT or computer (usually the one man version is seen fiddling with the DAT and then boucing around on stage, and of course the two member version look a bit like plumbers behind the wheel of their truck) anyway, there are a handful of real bands that complete a cd, play out and make something of it. When living in Knox I did some music but it never really panned out. The scene in Florida, in general, is populated with more musicians that are like-minded.

After much struggle, both personally and professionally with ex-band members, I came to find my current band "mates". Our sound is very different but still is classified as electro/industrial etc...even ebm to some extent. Anyway, I am looking forward to making it up to Knox...for music and my family and my horses, the mountains, my friends and hopefully Sanctus...

You could probably play at The Pilot Light. It used to be an "indie rock" bar when it opened many years ago, but has always been open to "goth" and "metal" bands, especially in recent years.

I still remember seeing Frankenstein Drag Queens there. Good times.
