WTF (Paranoia???)

So...

I get this E-Mail today...I can't figure out the motive...It's either a hacker, or con of some sort....

Or...It's from the Government (Not to put on my paranoid hat...)...I could go on-and-on about why...But some of the shit I say is enough...

So...What the fuck do ou guys make of this?

My dad got the same email (different names), a few months ago... they want your contact information so that they can sell it.

I've gotten those before too...

And always wondered....wtf are they going to do with my phone number, address, and name?

Couldn't they already get that shit?

I mean, I know it's some sort of scam....but what are they trying to "get"?

I was getting those emails like, 7 years ago.

There after money...I get like ten of those aday.....Just delete and run a virus scan every week.......its probably from where you signed up to some website and they sold your info......

Just either mark it as "spam" if your e-mail client/server allows it, or (if you're cool) mark their ip block and redirect all incoming mail from them to /dev/null.

In fact, redirect all incoming mail to /dev/null. If they're not sending messages over an encrypted connection, you don't need to read it.
