ok I lied..that's not what this topic is about at all.
This is a community correct? If you people can't run a community in which people are welcome...not verbally abused...then you might wanna start over. Cause it looks like you fucked up.

well first of all, thanks for bringing your shiney positive light to the table of happiness -
also, starting off with a false thread title, strike another one up to honesty
ok , sarcasm and joking aside - i consider this scene a family, a strange fucked up disfunctional family, and we all have our nuts, neat freaks, motherly types, slightly mentally challenged, incredibly smart, acid tounged, drama eaters, romantics etc etc , just like any family - the best thing to do is sit back, watch for a while, get a feel for everyone and their style , and realize that just cuz they may come off one way or the other doesnt mean they are not good people - they are just part of the mix, everyone has their place at the dinner table
bam

I suppose I'll just hang round the table
It's kinda hard not to take it personally when your beliefs are attacked constantly..whether it be from Christians...Ignorant Anarchists...or people that just have bad expirences with christians (haven't we all....shhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttt)
I didn't mean to come off so negatively..there's lots of great people on here...but couldn't people not be so quick to fucken judge?

You are preaching to the choir. I always try to take the route of understanding and extend the olive branch before the sword, but there are some of us who take differant approches and I understand that. Your best bet is just to let the shit roll off your back and keep going. Who you are is just that, who you are, and no one can take that away from you. Just keep a sense of humor and the rest will fall into place.

OK, Crimecore...Don't take this as a personal attack, but I don't believe that one can be a Christian Anarchist, either...But if you have found a way...Then have at it...I mean,if it's possable to be a Christian Satanist, I suppose that you could be...
On that note...
Don't take any of this shit too seriously...Recluse likes to be an ass for the sake of being an ass, from what I've seen...Never meet him, don't wanna...& if you read carefully, you can always catch him in a contradiction...Seriouly...You should gives no fucks...I know alot of really awesome people on here...Jay & Merc being two...Don't let a little rabble rousing get you to make assumptions...
slide.....

Recluse likes to be an ass for the sake of being an ass
no i support the things i care about it
and enjoy a good conversation about them
where in that topic have i contradicted myself
but there are some of us who take differant approches
and that's what makes REAL LIFE very special
It's kinda hard not to take it personally when your beliefs are attacked constantly
i'm not sure how you expected a goth board to take on christianity
sure there are some goths that are christians
my ex room mate was one
but for the most part my friend this is a subculture that is removed from christ
not a personal attack
just kinda the facts

Yup. This is a community. And, like in most communities, we don't all get along. That' s OK though. It shows good diversification and allows for broader sharing of opinions and ideas.
If someone does not agree with you about something, so be it. Why get exasperated about it? It does you no good, but it does show the offending party that he/she is hitting the right buttons to rile you up.
Religion is a controversial topic. Politics are controversial topics. Positioning yourself as an authority on anything is an invitation to an argument. I'm not saying don't talk about them. Just be ready for people to take issue with your stance.
Conversation - It's all good.

i agree
and I don't honestly have any personal beef with you mr crimecore
just standing up and saying things that should be said
as are you
let it go
it's the folks like merc and janell that just wanna jump in and start shit with me cuz they don't like my board personality
however they know nothing about me in real life
nor have either of them attempted a decent conversation with me
but trust me it doesn't hurt my feelings
but just because the peanut gallery starts stirring the pot
doesn't mean that any of my posts were attacks on anyone
in fact i went back and re read it
and the only time i was an "ass" as 4X541N7 (who obviously knows everything about me ) put it
was when merc and janell started shit
the rest was decent debate and conversation

whats wrong with a little verbal abuse.
here is the deal. i am an ass hole. i like being an ass hole. and i like to think that a lot of other people like me being an ass hole.
i try to use my ass holyness to make logical and thought out points.
case in point...
i used to be a christian. then i got smart.

when the hell were you "abused" anyway
if anything
i've been the one that's had to put up with multiple attacks
despite the fact that half the thread seems to agree with the point i'm making
nobody ever attacked you
i just don't agree with you

I suppose dysfunctional families are ok.
we are all assholes.
no one is perfect and no one is better than anyone else. it is just sometimes, people come off like they are.
that is not a good thing.
nope, nope, nope.

It'z a tuff crowd 'round here & varied, at that. Goth communitiez r not generally known 4 their soft&sweetness

. It'z a bit eazier 2 hav a sense ov humor & just take it all with a grain ov salt. There r going 2 b differencez ov opinion & assholez (That'z life 4 ya), but there r also several worthwhile peepz here. If u can tuff out the bs, u might b able 2 find a few redeeming qualitiez (I hav, n-e-way). Also, btw, religious deb8z r almost alwayz the start ov an arguement (Look at all ov the warz that hav been fought over it) ...

As one of the admins of this forum let me say this:
If you feel you have been personally attacked on this forum, please contact myself Vader, or Arkady (the other admins). we will review the situation and take what we feel to be appropriate action.
There is a set list of FAQ and rules for the forum that can be found
here
Everyone using this forum should read it!
We started this board with the intention of having a place where both people interested in the Goth scene, and those involved can get togeather and discuss things of community interest, and find out about scene events. Unfortunately shit sometimes hapens... The moderators and Admins try and keep things civil here most of the time, but things do slip past us. For the most part unless we see a obvious disregeard for the rules or someone complains to us, we let the little things slide a lot.
Moderating this forum can be a full time job for all of us when things are busy, and we all have jobs and lives to attend to. KG does not pay any of us for what we do here so it's a bit hard to justify spending all our free time watching the board. Forum moderation is no exact science either. we are all human and as such make mistakes.
We do believe in a spirited discussion around here. Sometime that means your beliefs/opinions may come under attack. That won't be changed or edited. Personnal attacks on an indivdual however are NOT TOLERATED here.
As much as we would like to see everyone just get along here, there are way too many personalities, tastes, and beliefs amist the members. Basically, just too much diversity for everyone to get along ll the time.... Hey it's what happens when you get a bunch of non-conformists togeather in one place.
It makes for some great discussions, but sometimes it makes for some hurt feelings too. All we ask is that the users here try to take everyone opinions into consideration. You don't have to agree with anyone, just no name calling or personnal attacks.
Note to all:
Opinions are like assholes: everyone has one and they ALL stink.
Think before you post, and try to be tolerant of others opinions.
Thanks

i know that goths are not known for their niceness. ... but i suppose what i am trying to say is that i figured being goths, some people would have more of an open mind than what they are portraying online.
I don't know, maybe it is just me. Goths are few and far between in general.... so i suppose i think that everyone would just get past that level of narrowmindedness and accept people of all walks of the freak life style.
I know that people have their differences, and they like to express that level of difference in debates, rants, and the like.... but do you actually respect the person after the debate is done, or do you still bash them afterwards??
this isn't directed towards you stormstress. you are a very cool chick. so don't take it like it is. it is directed toward everyone.

well
i'm not a goth
and i'm not sure when goths became hippies in the first place
and
i'm not sure how debating the definition of anarchism
and it's association with organized religions makes anyone close minded
but do you actually respect the person after the debate is done, or do you still bash them afterwards??
yeah man it's just like REAL LIFE
you talk about some shit
and disagree
and neither of you change the others mind
but you stimulate one another
then you walk away thinking about all those points
and move on your next activity
i don't HATE anybody here
im sure there is at least one thing
i could probably talk to any of you about
dont' get all up at arms because i'm opinionated and vocal about it

Thnx 4 the compliment. I do c ur pointz on the lack ov acceptance & open-mindedness. Un42n8ly, (being a life-long freak myself) I hav found theze qualitiez everywhere & n every kinda group that I hav encountered. That doezn't keep me from st8ing my opinionz or being who I am, but it can certainly b verrry disappointing! I just chalk it up 2 humanity'z flawz. On the respect issue, I can say that a coupla peepz that I hav gone head-2-head with here hav actually earned &/or maintained my respect thru their wordz & actionz, while many otherz hav not. I feel free 2 bash the latter at will on my own time

, although they r generally not worth the time & effort. While I may not share ur religious philosophiez, I hope that u can find sum consolation n not being alone n this matter.
bam.

Usually when a person seperates themselves from mainstream society...it's usually because they see faults and feel oppressed in someway by society....so why then would we oppress our own..no progress can be made until nothing is taboo...of course...oppression it'self...I'm done arguing on the subject personally...I know what I believe...I know what I feel and how I perseive the world around me...soooooooo....whatever...If you feel the need to try to see where I'm comming from...or question where I'm comming from...pm me...so it doesn't take up so much forum space...and I'll try not to take it personally.

Ditto for me on ALL that....
I never claimed to be loving and accepting of anyone off the the street, and I'm happy for it, the chaos in my life is at about nil.
"Love, peace and harmony...
Love, peace and harmony...
Oh very nice, very nice, very nice...
But maybe in the next world".
