Go to Sally Beauty and get about 3 packets of Quick Blue powder bleach and a containter of volume 40 creme developer. Follow the mixing directions and just slather it on your hair. You have to make sure the entire strand is soaked in the bleach. Let it sit for about an hour or so, then rinse and condition. Then repeat the process until you get to your desired shade.

Everything Russo said...is pretty accurate...Except, I would use Kalidacolors, instead...Also, wrap it in aluminum foil, & blow dry for the time it instructs you to leave it on...It will help to keep it uniform...

the Manic Panic flashlighting works extremely well.. it's gotten my hair substantially lighter than any of the other commercial bleaching kits, by atleast 4-5 shades per application ... /end infomercial lol

I get tired of black alot, and strip my hair.

I usually use the loreal stripping stuff....can't remember the exact name for it now...you can get it at sally's too.

Kaliedocolors is awesome too.

If you don't have foil, I use a plastic shower cap thingie sometimes and blow dry it, until my head is burning and I have to stop.

Good luck. Hopefully yours won't turn out feeling like Hay like mine always does...

I would recommend using a conditioner, when you wash it out...Just always use a conditioner after just about every time you wash your hair...It keeps it from acting too damaged...

I color stripped mine about three weeks ago using the Clariol stuff from Sally's. Check with the folks who work there and they can help you with it. Didn't fry my hair, tho it did make it a little drier for about a week. Also, get something called Neutral Protein Filler. It's supposed to help prepare your hair to accept color and it works really well. You can fix the dry by covering it in olive oil and a plastic cap and wear it 'til you can't stand it anymore! Also, use a Ph balanced shampoo (can you tell I've been doing this a while?).

I get really freaked out about my hair and won't let anyone, other than my mom who lives 2 hours away, even look at me with scissors in their hands!
