* interested* tho the only real experience I have would be dealing with my folk's friends and the fact that both my parents have worked in social work and group home environments for most of my childhood *read - raised by two psych majors*

I'd like to mention that I doubt those who currently use drugs or alcohol very frequently would be wanted for such a postion.

I have more knowledge of both NA and AA than any non addict I know...but..I've dealt with addicts and those with dual diagnosis more than enough in my life time. You'd have to pay me a bit more than that...lol.

To anyone stable enough to work in such a field, kudo's. For myself, I grew up around way too much of that shit to want to go back, and I still have my own dependencies I'm trying to cope with. Hello, my name is Lorne, and I'm addicted to message boards..

First of all we do not accept active users. But 75% of our employees are in recovery.

This job is located in Louisville, TN.
Also, you would have to be willing to work with me all of the time. Hahaha.

I thought you where talking about Cornerstone. And no I've never been there myself, I have no Drug or Alcohol problems. In fact, I don't even drink, but on occasion, anyone on this board who knows me can attest to that. Thge only problem I would have would be my general apperence. I have second-hand DA & AA experiance, but no official position. I actuall live about 5 minutes away. What is the position you are loooking for?

Kudos on what you do. I'd be interested if I lived closer. But being in Jefferson City, puts me way off the map. Right now I'm trying for a position at Morristown Hamblen Hospital, with their social services dept. Good luck with yours though.

I would curse at people too much...and make them all take up the sXe lifestyle, in which case they'd get angry, and want to get more fucked up....

Well, I know of course the place wouldn't want to hire active users, but I have known active users who worked at such places and I found it highly unethical. I was just letting all our junkies know...lol.
