sorry I missed it, it looks like it was a lot of fun! I was asleep an hour after it started though, so it's probably good I didn't go.
Can't wait for the next one!

Love the venue, except for the ventilation problem, and the music was wonderful. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to stay longer.

Just a note.. I wasn't asleep.. I swear.. I was just closing my eyes because all the smoke in that place was killing them.

I looked wiped out in the pictures...guess I should get more sleep. I'm the one with the crown and wand for those who don't know. I did have a good time. It had been ages since I had been in Amnesia....it woke up some bad memories but I think I created some new, good ones.
Thank you!!!!!

^ Needs me, apparently.
Oops, wrong thread. Sorry!
Still, it was great to see you there. Your pink fetish was honestly the most frightening garb of the night.. But the huggles were still excellent! And you put your wand to naughtily good use, always a plus

The smoke really got to me too...
What I wouldn't give for a non smoking venue...*sigh*
It was killin me and I smelled nasty when I left....yech.

I second you there, Buttercup. I ended up going to bed soon after getting home because the headache and nausea was simply too intense.. and I have to do laundry again.. Le sigh..
It would be a trip to see how many folks we could get together for a non-smoking Goth night.. the only question I'd have is where to hold it? I mean, most clubs are going to be open to the public regardless, and even if we get total respect from the folk on the boards, outsiders aren't likely to offer such, and I wouldn't think most clubs would be inclined towards turning away business regardless.
So what does that leave? Dancing isn't a particular issue to me, but I know it is to alot of folk, so a dance floor, or at least open space, and a good sound system are pretty much prerequesites..
Also, drinking isn't my thing, but once again, alot of people are heavily into it as a social aspect, so it's got to either have a bar, or be legal to drink in if people care to bring their own. Kegs perhaps. *shrugs* It'd be nice if there was somewhere to talk far enough away from the music so people could sit and have conversations without shouting in eachother's ears as well..
So basically, we need someone with a really big house who doesn't smoke or is willing to disengage in it for the evening, move it outdoors, whatever.. Maybe a barn even.. *shrugs* Either that or just move it outdoors.. But that would make the entire point of having a "non-smoking" night irrelavent, unless we want to be utterly anal about it and make a "corral" for them off to the side.
Ok, I think too much.. But who knows what will come of it?

Fair enough, it is indeed. But it lacks the other items I noted, which seem to be fairly much required for the "party" atmosphere that people seem to appreciate.. and dress for accordingly.

all right, that seals the deal, I will now begin wearing corsets everytime I leave the house (well, most times) then it really will always be a party when I am around

The night was fucking great. Exceeded my expectations but that is just me being jaded over the years. I look forward to the next one and many more.

That would certainly be a help! And a boost to business, being your own advertising among your target clientel! Hrmm.. how to make them mandatory though.. *ponders* 11th street isn't organized enough for a themed event.. *ponders*

As many of you know, I'm interested in photography which shows phenomenon which isn't visible to the naked eye. Many of these photos show such artifacts. Was there something special about the camera or its lens? I'm particularly interested in the photo of myself where I appear to be mostly transparent. Is this because of the shutter speed which was used? As discussed in another thread, I've seen and examined photos which show "orbs and filaments" of an astral/spiritual origin but I've never seen one where the camera saw thru an object unless it was a double-exposure, which this does not appear to be. If the photographer can tell us something about what's going on here, that would be great.

this is the settings on the camera, it fires a flash to capture the initial image but leaves the shutter open to expose for background light, that way you dont get washed out faces with black backgrounds, but it also allows for motion blurs, light trails and various other effects, like a transparent gregori
basicly what happened is this, the flash went off where you were standing, and while the cameras shutter stayed open to expose for the background, you moved, thus, see thru you
lol

And here I thought that the invisibility spell I've been working on was finally kicking in... oh well
