That looks like about half the pictures I take.
I haven't figured out how to kill the red eye and my camera takes it to extremes. (kodak DC-290 if anyone is wondering)

Has this ever happened to anyone on here besides me?
I get sleep paralysis every so often. Not fun.

Bleh, I used to get that all the time. It'll still happen occasionally, usually when I sleep with lots of clothes on. Not fun at all.

usually due to the distance of the flash being too close to the lens, the red eye and black and white "eye glow" are caused by light reflecting from the flash back into the lens of the camere, this is why photographers use bounce flash or sync cords to move the flash a bit farther away from the lens, also to provide more attractive lighting.
the wife and i were part of east tennessee ghost hunters society for a few years, my job was to photographicly document our hunts and to verify or debunk the photos that we came across from other sources - to this date i have been able to debunk every photo if i had the original image/file - im not saying its not out there, im just saying i havent seen the real thing , yet.
my wife, along with many of our other hunters, see the real thing, we just havent photographed it yet.

I've experienced it a number of times, but always with the understanding that I was still asleep, and only thought I was awake. I have some very graphic, intense dreams.. Some of the best movies I've ever seen were made while I was asleep. I always considered the paralysis thing just a shallow drea on the edge of sleep, and I simply had to force myself awake to get out of it.
