Does ANYONE know how to sew a &*(^&*%%#*^ long black dress for not too much and before &%^%&#$^*% Halloween?!?!

I have a long black sleevless dress I bought at a thrift store. It's floor length for me (I'm 5'2") and a bit big (I wear a juniors 9 or 11) so perhaps an extra large? If you think it might fit you, and can pick it up, it's yours free. Or anyone else. It would make a nice base to build a better dress or costume on. PM if interested.
