I watched it, I almost cried when they hauled the coffin out, but other than that, they did a good job. Grr to getting rid of the mom's bangs and encouraging her to lose the piercing...... but if she was willing to do it to make her family happy, more power to her.

Goth Home Remake.

Saw that to night and was a little disappointed. Come on Goth is not all bad. The show kind of made the goth thing look bad. (Where is the editor of Gothic Beauty Magazine when you need him.) So sad when coffin was taken out. Thay could have made it into a coffee table. But really Goth can be done classly. I love the master bed room in their new house. Thats the kind of Goth that I like in a home. As for the hair stlye of this family, not a thing wrong in the first place. And what about their goth band and thier friends. Now thay will have to get a new look. Maybe thay will go back to the way thay were. :)

I only flipped back and forth (sorry, my wrestling comes first) but I don't think they did a bad job and I don't feel sorry for the family. THEY are the ones who signed themselves up for this. Don't ask the producers why they think GOTH is bad, ask the family why they wanted to go through with this.

I actually thought it was great. The family was each given rooms that they seemed to really like along with lots of extras. They were also given a complete recording package for their studio. All in all, I thought it was tasteful.

I kinda figured they were giving up the "gothness" (tho really they didn't give it up, they just toned it down) for 2 reasons: 1) the kids seemed to want some sense of "normalcy" (and it shows a good parent who is willing to change somewhat for their child) and 2) they were doing the fresh start thing, getting married, a new house, and new looks.
I was pleased that they didn't try to make everyone blond and in khaki, I am fairly certain that when the mom removes her wedding dress, she will be back in black. And the wedding turned out quite well, IMO. I think my favorite thing they did was giving the one daughter a full scholarship to community college. You have to admit, the master suite was sweet!
