mythological beasts of the wood? You mean like big foot? a yeti? the loch ness monster? that's a riot! I think I'll go as Miz Kitty....quickly becoming a being of mythological proportions.

"Favorite Shakespearian Garb/Character"

...Huh...

Well, I'm guessing Shylock would be inappropriate. ;)

"Villain, I have done thy mother!"

Heh. Yeah, but if you want badass, go with Iago. He makes Aaron look like a common thug.

Iago is certainly my selection for selection for the biggest bastard. Think of it. All of the other villains had some justification for their actions - Macbeth would be King, Richard III was eliminating threats to his throne, Shylock was right, Claudius wanted to be King and may have had something for his sister in law. They all had something to gain by their deeds, except Iago. Out of jealousy, on a whim, he decides to betray his best friend and induce him into killing his wife. What does he stand to gain from this? Nada. What a bastard.

Aaron always struck me as just being out for Aaron. He was a hard man living in a hard world, despised by all, and in the end, was only concerned about his blood. I have a lot of respect for his character.

I would love to talk to you more about this. I tend to disagree about Iago's lack of motivation, although he is commonly considered Shakespeare's first true sociopath.

HOWEVER, we are fouling up the Sanctus thread with Shakespearean criticism.

A good place to go.

In the top level of the Mountain Mall (611 Parkway, Gatlinburg) is an art store called 3rd I Productions. The artist/owners Rae and Ryan are members of KG, I believe. Their store has some awesome original artwork. For those interested in costuming for July's Sanctus, the store will be a great resource. Next time you're in Gatlinburg check them out. I've enjoyed just wandering around the store looking at their art and letting my third eye open up. I usually end up floating around the ceiling...

Rae is old school back to the Mercury/Neptune days. Lava as well.

Anyway here is the web site for their shop.
And I Agree if you get the chance to stop in their shop do so. They always have some trippy cool stuff around.

Elves and faeries? Hmmm. *thinks back to Dark Elf's previous appearance at Sanctus as an elf and giggles*
