Security Jobs?

Since I saw two other threads on jobs, I thought I might as well ask.

I've got Tennessee armed security officer card, and a pepper/mace spray endorsement, Worked with a security company for about 2 years before landing my current job which was more flexible in scheduling. Mostly commercial office buildings, but done a little retail work too. Strip mall type thing.

I'm also not adversed to taking on other duties that are beyond a primary focus of security. General help out stuff, go-fer, that type of thing, no problems there.

A good portion of our people (not our department, but another) got told recently they won't have jobs in a few months, some of them were told they wouldn't have jobs in a couple of weeks. So naturally I'm a little open to something else, in case the trend continues.

My father is a dispatcher for Wackenhut at the Y 12 plant. Last I heard they were hiring, but you have to have a Q security clearance...

That's my experience at the moment, I've thought about trying to get into some event type stuff, or even some of the clubs/bars but have no idea how to go about that. Don't know anyone that's in that area of things. Thanks for the replies so far people. I'm starting to like this place :D

I imagine it can be intresting, hence one reason I've thought about it, but don't really know anyone in the 'know' on how to get started on something like that.
