I came across this nifty website of the cemetery Pere-Lachaise in Paris where Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison (that guy that died all fat and hairy, not the singer from The Smiths) and many others are buried. They are celebrating their 200th year I believe.

It has a nifty virtual tour I thought some of you might enjoy.

Because of the super coolness of the site, I will forgive you for that statement.

Look, like I told you I saw "morris" that automatically triggers "morrison."

Tho you never told me who this morrisey character is. Be forwarned, if e was from the 80's I have no idea.

I should get somone to volunteer to be my "80's tutor." Any takers? Here's your chance to educate the ignorant. After the 80's on to educate my pallet, or whatever the wine thing is.

*puts head down and shakes it*

You have much learn young grasshoppa

Morrisey- Singer of 80s band "The Smiths" (well at least most noteably 80s). He also had a solo carear, and is THE single gayest goth ever. *note i do not use gay as a name calling adjective, but rather, eh fuck it...hes not gay cus he sucks, hes gay cus he looooves the cock, also he is goth cus he wrote the line "I wear black on the outside, cus black is how on feel on the inside"* Morrisey is also responsible for that ungodly horrible played out song "How soon is now" the song posses an intresting question, as usually when it is played my answer is "as quick as i can get out the door"...in reference to "when will X leave the main hall, and hopefully earshot of this song being played.

I will possibly make a post daily, for your 80s culture / humor needs, depending on how many times i see lol in the following responses.

Ok..though funny, I must disagree on a few points. A) He's not really "goth" though he is whiney and self loathing and depressed. Ok..maybe I'm wrong.

B)He's not gay, he's celebate. Ok...so he might love the cock but doesn't get any.

C)I feel that the Smiths are much better than Morrissey's solo stuff, which is a bit whiney for even my tastes and I think that Morrissey is quite possibly the best lyricist evAr. There was just something about Johnny Marr that kept him in check.

D) Morrissey can't help it that dj's completely OVERPLAY "how soon is now" . I've been to clubs in other places that play other smiths songs, but its about as rare here as hearing any bauhaus that isn't "bela" or any Siouxsie that isn't "peepshow" :D

The Smiths are one of my favorite bands EVER. ...

And now Coor, I order you to go out and purchase "The Smiths-The Singles" which is a good starting place or have someone burn you some of their music. You may hate them, some do...

Oh, and Coor, glory holes and Morrissey are not related, although I supect they may not be terribly unknown to each other..hehehe

oh, surely he's gotten laid by now.

And I've got just about everything up to bona drag...

And I have a standing request (that's almost never actually listened to) for any DJ to play any smiths other than how soon is now.

Eh, celebate is just another word for can't get laid.....like myself- i am celebate.

I have a copy of the singles coor, and i'll make you a copy. I agree with buttah, and i'm not sure if i came off sounding like i DO like his solo stuff, because infact i do not. I also do not blame the group nor morrisey himself for writing/performing a song that gets over played.....i just simply, leave, when its played, much like Bela, and Peepshow...and howi turn the station when my favorite bands HITS come on....(do you know how much i HATE rock n roll all nite, or light my fire)

I still stand by my calling Morrisey gay.

even if he is celebate, i'm sure he LOVES the cock.....just like Coor

Yes, I absolutly HATE Light My Fire. It was cool the first time I heard it, but definetly on of the Doors weakest songs.

I'm going to leave that comment alone. And thanks guys for the help. I super appericate it. Even more thanks to Buttercup for bringing this whole thing up.
