Well, that kinda depends on what you are into, and what you like to do. If you like to read, play games, or if you wanted to post on a forum there are plenty of suitable "work friendly" sites. If you give me a little bit more details I could prolly help more. :D

Well, MSN.com has tons of reading material, art, current info, games, and other stuff. My best suggestion is to go to google and search whatever comes to mind that you might be intrested in. I think that the Museum of Modern Art NYC, has a good website as well.

Let's not forget if you haven't seen it already, America's finest news source... The Onion

Need some music to listen to? Plenty of options out there, if you're incredibly lazy, surf around Live365.com, though hopefully KG radio is already back again, or will be back up soon. While the pop-ups and audio ads are irritating, live365 can at least keep you going. Plus, synthpopalooza has a stream on there.

Hmmm...other than that, I can't really think of anything...

http://www.etiquettehell.com/ - this is funny stuff... the things people do/say in public can be pretty awful. stories about awful weddings, bosses, etc ... can be pretty entertaining

Hey thanks for the live365 recommendation!

I would also suggest, in addition to my own stream, that the Slothradio live365 station might also be worth your while. It's got a great mix of modern and classic synth and electro.
