Well, this is very interesting, INDEED! Have a read of this:

http://www.moveon.org/news/salon.html

This was written by a high ranking military officer on the inside, Karen Kwiatkowski, who witnessed our administration at work trying to fabricate the necessity of this war.

Yes, folks, we were definitely lied to.

The only difference between Bush and Hilter is that Bush hasn't made a concentration camp.....yet.

I hope no one I know votes for Bush or I'm never talking to them again. Bush is nothing more than a greedy murderer...and if you don't believe me-click on my banner and watch some of the films on the ANIMATIONS page.

No see no matter what Hitler did he made this thing called a CONTRIBUTION. Granted Hitler's contribution to the world was medical science, and we all know how that happened. Moving on... I knew we were getting fucked when he sid that we were going to Iraq.

Oh, and yes Junkie, we aren't safe from the government. Everytime I heard the words "Homeland Security" I shudder.

That, and the Volkswagen Beetle ... a vehicle that Adolf Hitler all but demanded be built, back in the late 30's.

That's something to consider if you own one of these vehicles, it's very controversial beginnings.

sythny, thats actually one of the reasons i wanted one.
not because hitler's involvement persay, just as a benchmark to preach from when i tell people how selective memory and history is.
hitler exists in the eyes of hippie automobiles.
and people say irony is dead.....................

Ouch!.... Being a big VW fan I know a bit of the VW history. While having extreme ties to Hitler, F. Porsche (designer of the original beetle and head o VW) was duped along with most of the german people. Hitler put a challenge to the engineers of Germany. He wanted a car that could get somethign like 25MPG and could be built a a cost that the average German citizen could afford. Everyone except Mr. Porsche said it couldn't be done. Porsche did it. Then the scandle... VW was a goverment program that was meant to put cars in the hands of the German people. You bought stamps for a stamp book from the goverment. When your book was full you received your brand new VW. No one ever recieved their VW to the best of my knowledge. Instead the German goverment spent the money on tooling the built factory for the war.

It should be a lesson to know where the goverment spends your dollars !

I'm not sure how much of a contribution to society the bug is, but hey, most people who own bugs have some cool story behind it saving their life or something toward or of that effect.

Intresting how we are comparing Bush to Hitler, when Bush compared Saddam to Hitle. For tha tmatter why do we call Saddam by his first name, unlike most world leaders?

I agree, Coor. It's always seemed rude to me when so many other heads of state are addressed by their full title & last name (Prime Minister Blair, for example). But I don't know the language rules for the Arab world. In some Asian languages the last name is used as the more familiar while the first is the more formal. If that is the case, though, why is Arafat not referred to in the same way?

Don't forget, though, that Jordan had an Hussein while Iraq had it's own. Also, he was our best buddy for so long, I'm sure our peeps were on a first name basis with everyone's favorite dictator. I guess it just stuck. ;)
