Atlanta is a fucking Tuesday

That sucks balls. I may have to look into getting some time off work though, as Creatures were incredible when I saw them a couple of years ago in Nashville. Siouxsie still looks very very hot and Budgie was the man! This year, they are even bring Kodo percussionist on the road with them and performing Creatures AND Banshees tunes in smaller venues (Yeah!!! No Masquarades!). I really want to go!!!

Well, Siouxsie has a secondary sinus infection and the tour is being
postponed.

Happy Happy Joy Joy!!! The new date is September 11th...A Saturday! I'm elated. The bad news is the cost - 32.50 plus all the charges (Rip offs Rip offs!). If I have to make a choice, Dragon Con or Siouxsie, and an Evening With Siouxsie will most likely win.
She is a real treat to see live and I am hoping for an intimate, exciting show.
Location is still Variety Playhouse in Atlanta.

My brief thoughts on the show.
First time at the Variety Playhouse. Nice venue with balcony theater seating and seating and standing room in front of the stage. Decent sound. There were 2 distinct higpoints to the show. One was the percussion (of course) Budgie was at the top of his game and the Kodo drummer added to the sound immensely. The second was Siouxsie herself who came on stage in a beautiful geisha like kimono which was stripped off slowly, Salome like, layer after layer song after song until she was left with billowy slacks and a cleavage conducive vest...And let me tell you, she looked good enough to eat! Absolutely beautiful. High energy all through the show, but sadly, my friends and I had to leave prior to the second encore...
Because it was 100+ degrees in the fucking house!!! No AC the entire night, and it was fucking sweltering. Rumor from people working the venue was that this was at the artist's request as Siouxsie has vocal problems at cooler tempertures

Hey, I can accept that to a degree. But it didn't have to be an ice box in there - 80 degrees would have been
GREAT. And you know it had to be even hotter on the stage...Ah well, still a great show, just wish I could have stuck it out til the end.
Highpoint songs for me: Christine, Happy House, Kiss the Girl, Dear Prudence, Second Floor
Songs I'd hoped to hear: Arabian Nights, Cities in Dust, Carcass
