The Mandrake is bizzare.

It has thie unique sort of Minty Vanilla flavor....very strange.

Here are the tasting notes from Spirits Corner:

Tasting Notes for the mandrake liquor “Mandragora“: This Liqueur is made through a maceration of various herbs and eucalyptus honey. The Mandrake root is well known plant since ancient times for its hallucinogetic properties. In the Middle Ages, so the legend says, witches used to drink the mandrake in liquor or as an infusion, so that they could communicate better with the spiritual world. This liqueur must be drunk cold and with moderation.

NOTE BENE!!! "with moderation" is right... You DO NOT want to drink this in large quantities, and you want it cold so you can swish a sip of it around in your mouth to let it wake up to get the fullest effect.

CS, are you referring to diviner's sage? A friend gave me a thumbs down on that - the effects are played way up. He said he was sending some my way, so we will see. What's your favorite of the fairies? The French?

I usally drink the Spanish most of all.

I have also seen a new one BLACK ABSINTHE....so I am going to get a bottle of that to try next time

The sage is:

"The sage liqueur from Sinc distilleries in Alcoy, Alicante, is a very unique product. Sage is known for its medicinal properties for centuries, and sage grows wild in the mountains surrounding Alcoy, where this licquor has been made for decades. Sage is a plant related to wormwood, and in fact it has an even higher thujone level than absinthe. This liqueur, very mild thanks to its 18% vol. Alc., is extremely aromatic, you have the feeling you are right in the Mediterranean woods enjoying life. "

Yeah...whatever.....I'll try it once...

It has to be better than the RED FAERIE (Serpis).

That was most foul.
