Our own missing Pan is DJing at KFAR Mondays and Wednesdays from 1-4.
He's asking for calls, so...
Call the Great God Pan at 577.7955. He's lonely.

KFAR is 90.9 FM here in Knoxville, or go to their site for webcast.

Thanks for calling me at the studio, JaNell. Much appreciated. And thanks for the plug. If there's anything anyone wants to hear, email me your requests or give me a call Monday and Wednesday, 1:00-4:00 p.m. and I'll do my best to get it on the air. I may not currently have the tune, since all the KFAR djs supply their own material, but I'll try to dig it up somewhere. Also, I'm happy to plug any of the KG or KG related events on the air. Just spread the word about KFAR, the only community radio station in the area. It's unlicensed and therefore considered 'pirate', but it's really the corporate radio stations that are the pirates. They're the ones who have stolen the airwaves from the people and given them to the money hungry corporations. We're just trying to take them back. If that's piracy, so be it. Regardless, screw the rest of the radio dial, lock it in to 90.9. You're liable to hear anything.

I'm usually at work during that time. The problem I am having is that I can not find the on-line stream from Shoutcast.

Hiya, Arkady. How's the lady Boo and little Boo? I'll email you tonight when I get back in with all the pertinent info. Don't bother with the schedule on http://www.kafar.org - last time I looked it hadn't been updated since December 31st. It doesn't even list my show yet, which I'll have to remedy very soon. As far as the shoutcast goes, it usually runs perpetually, and should be up any time, if it isn't already. If not, I'll try to remedy that as well - post haste. KFAR is often anarchy personified - but I wouldn't want it any other way. There are a lot of great shows on KFAR - Motard, The Lemon Drop Kid, A-Train, Sizta Zock, Dirty D, and DJ Whitey; to name just a few of the forty or so djs who spin on a weekly basis at the station - but mine is by far the heaviest. I don't stick to any sort of format - playing whatever I can pull out of my aural bag of tricks at the moment - but things tend to be a little crunchy. Slots come open all the time and we might be able to get you started with an hour or so until something a little larger is available. It'll be fantastic to have you aboard. Maybe we can work out some sort of live broadcast from Sanctus each month... Could be fun, eh? It'd be great to coerce Mr. Xi back into a life of crime as well. There's nothing like spinning tracks with one eye on the disc player and the other on the surveilance cameras, watching for the cops and the FCC....
Not to sound like some cheesey advertisement, but I do encourage everyone out there to support the station (90.9 FM). It's the only community based radio station in the market, flying the one-finger-flag in the face of the FCC and corporate format radio. We can play anything - and will. Just give me a call at the station, Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00-4:00 p.m., and I'll see what I can do about digging up your requests. Also, if there are any community events, of any sort, going on that you'd like to have plugged, email me all the info and I'll be sure to mention it on the air as well as leaving it in the studio for the other djs. Tell your family about us; tell your friends; and inflict massive amounts of pain and ridicule on anyone who listens to those skanky, burger-pushing, hypnotically redundant, and downright fucking foul corporate radio stations. They suck ass so hard they'll rip your sphincter right out from between your lily-white cheeks. I used to listen to corporate radio and my ass still hurts...

Thanks Lost Traveler. The support is greatly appreciated. We're not looking for advertisers, just listeners. I checked with Dirty D in regard to the Shoutcast of the station. It should be up and running here in a day or two. Seems someone forgot to, uh....heh....pay the friggin' bill. That'll be remedied post haste and shouldn't happen again. So keep trying. It WILL be back up. And keep spreading the word...
Ah, sweet sweet anarchy...
Oh, by the by, the station lost the woman who did the animal rights show on Mondays at 5:00 p.m. When I left the station today that was a void they were still looking to fill. That may not be the case by the time you read this, but hey, if anyone's interested, drop me an email and I'll see if I can't get the ball rolling.

YEah, I'm usually listening when I go get the Little Boo from School. I keep it on KFAR in the car most of the time. I'll be looking for that email.
