flu? bronchitis? taburculosis? plague?

i realize this really isn't of any importance, but i must know.
i can usually tell when i am getting sick, it always starts off the same, sore throat. but right now, i only feel a bit achy, and when i breathe, particularly deeply, my lungs do this wierd vibrating thing, and i start coughing really hard. not a hacking scratching cough, but hard enough to hurt my whole body, and make my stomach so sore i will never have to do a sit up again, otherwise i feel fine. no cold or flu symptoms. but i can't get in to the dr., and the nurse at the desk took a retard pill today, and couldn't even call a rx into walgreens for me.but "oh it will be there this afternoon." nope, not there.
anyways, my point: is anyone else having problems with something similar? i'm curious to know if i have merely caught a bug, or if its something more serious. i've never in my memory of life had problems with my lungs before. people have tried to diagnose me plenty today: i have the bronchitis, a cold bug, sars, a lung infection, walking pnemonia, taburculosis.
perhaps i have a modern day plague and we are all doomed

You just need a new Muffler and an Air Filter...Then maybe replace a few hoses....then you should be good as new!
Seriously though...I haven't heard about any thing strange going around. How long have you had these symptom's? Have you been out in the cold air for long periods of time? Getting enough sleep?
What I do...with all illnesses is sleep it off, might wanna try that if you haven't already?
BTW Don't try to sleep off mental Illnesses...it doesn't work. Trust me.

You may want to consider Mono and Pneumonia. It's a very good time of year for Pneumonia and you can always contract Mono from another person very easily.

Well body aches and cough are flu symptoms. If it starts to get worse, please go see a doctor. This years flu is nothing to fuck with.
Pleas take care.

See, that's adding another step into the treatment process, thereby making it more logical.
Drinking, after all, kills brain cells. Brain cells, being the meat and matter from which all thought and emotion stems from, can't make you depressed if they're dead. (That's D-E-D, dead!)
So, all one logically has to do is continue to drink, sleep it off long enough to regain at least partial motor skills, then repeat this process, arbitrarily killing off sections of the brain until you finally are able to blast the offending section of said grey matter back to the depths of hell from which it was spawned.
After you've managed this feat of supercilious proportions , you're cured!
...Or have been rendered something akin to a human vegetable. Either way, you'll have bigger things to worry about than depression.
This theory rather reminds me of a psychosynaptic game of Battleship™.

Arkady's right ...
This year's strain of Flu is nothing to be playing around with, you could die.
It's really hit harder this year than other years, mainly because they didn't produce enough flu vaccine to go around (pity they can't save back what didn't get used last year!)
I suggest you take it easy, put the feet up, get plenty of vitamins, and a lot of bland foods will help as well, maybe some chicken soup, and sip on some 7 up or Sprite if you can't keep fluids down.
I think I was fortunate to get spared the flu this year, but I have not always been so lucky. It really sucks a major kumara when you have it.

I had a fever which lasted three days with a hacking cough. It wasn't fun, but plenty of rest and water, along with lots of vitamins, and it was gone after three days.
Just rest, but if it does get worse go to the doctor.

the only thing i can say is that it's not tuberculosis, trust me. the others are probably right, get lots of sleep and fluids and go to a dr. if it doesn't get better. sounds to me like bronchitis, but whatever it is, i hope you're feeling better very soon!

This year's flu is the same exact as any year. I thought you people would be more intelligent than that.

....breathe Joe....breathe....
Ok. If the flu mutated and evolved since its birth as soon as you caught it you'd be dead.
The only reason people die from it is chance. Some fluke thing that made that person vulnerable. There are 280 Million people in this country, if 25,000 die from it MAYBE I'll consider it a problem. You see a few cases of it killing on the news....well....it's the news....it covers the entire country. Of course you're going to hear about it. That's the only reason the news is there, to scare you into consumption. "Murder, A.I.D.S, floods, rape, flu, earthquakes, terrorism" commercials.
Think about this. Has your life changed at all since 9-11?
No.
DON'T GET A FLU SHOT

By the way, I aced Biology in 10th grade.
Want to hear something weird? Oxygen kills A.I.D.S. in any circumstance immediately. So, if Magic Johnson were to play basketball again and he happened to get knocked down and started to bleed all over the floor, you could drink it with no fear of contracting the virus.
There's an obscene amount of Oxygen in blood and every other bodily fluid.

Sorry, that's dangerously incorrect, and here's why:
Red Blood Cells carry oxygen.
AIDS is a condition resulting from contracting the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), which
attacks and destroys White Blood Cells.
The oxygen is carried within the cellular membrane of the Red Blood Cells and never makes direct contact with the HIV and thus can never nullify its effects.
