Im just curious about what those of you that have seen Return of The King thought.....

Also, did anyone go to the all day showing....? The cute little film frame collectibles they gave out were awsome....I got on with pippin in it that i just love!

I thought it was great, but you can see where they have left out the hour + they are going to add in for the extended version. They seemed to go back to the editing style of the first one (wich is a little anoying), also there are a few things that you would only get IF you saw the extended versions. Other wise very good, I give them a full hat trick.

We'll be taking it in for the second time later today. We loved it! It was so nice to finally have the conclusion we've been craving for 3 years. At the end of each of other flicks, it was such a cliff hanger that we really needed the satisfaction of having it done with.

But of course it's not really since I still will be waiting impatiently for the extended version on dvd. I've gotta have the extra scenes to have a more accurate picture of the artists' vision.

If you haven't seen it yet, I really recommend it. But try to watch the extended versions of the other 2 first. It's a much more satisfying experience that way.

This is kind of off subject of what others have posted, but did anyone on here noticed the kind of love connection between between Merry and Pippin? Sam and Frodo had one too, but I really took notice in Merry and Pippin's.
Maybe it's the yaoi fan in me that saw it, who knows?
