Check
this shit out. It's a band comprized of several musical robots and one guy. From what the post on
slashdot says, the show is something you have to see to believe.
So, I checked out the site and guess what? They are playing Johnson City on the 14th at some joint called "A Hideaway." Might be worth a look.

Does sound cool...I'm never in Johnson City and have no idea how to get there. Plus, even if I did venture out that way I wouldn't have anyone to go with.
*sings* "Nobody knows the trouble I've seen, nobody knows my sorrow..."
Woe is Kit.

Just too far a drive for me I'm afraid. Still, sounds very cool and I would love to see this if the show comes closer. Very glad to see things like this being posted! Thanks!!!

He actually played the Neptune in late '98. A Band Called L.I.F.E. from Greeneville opened for him, which was a damn weird contrast. It was already funny as shit and damn good music way back then, so I can only imagine how much better he's gotten at it since then. I think I still have a sticker from the show, which I had him sign. He wrote: "My ass hurts. J-Bot."

correction, logan still works there.
gawddamn the new captured by robots set is fucking amazing
it puts the old ones to shame like 10000 times over
you all missed out severe, the most interesting thing ive seen in a while. he made the crowd watch parts of the 10 commandments and then proclaimed himself moses and all of us "temporary jews". all of the songs were soundtracking the 10 commandmends and ranged from death metal making fun of big name black metal acts (hint: songtitle midian)to funk played entirely by the robots as he danced around the room trying to get the crowd to sing or something.. i never really figured that out.i met him and talked with him for a while before his set and after his set and some of the shit he had to say really blew my mind.
anmyway, you guys missed it but ive got a live DVD of their old set *which after seeing this one i dont even take seriously* and ill have a tape of the current tour stuff when he gets off tour and i can order merch.... weeeeeeeeee!!

Junkie...are you still drunk?
I thought it was slightly retarded and lame...but maybe that's just cause "Moses" tried to hump my leg.
Also, I forgot wether I was suppose to be learning the 10 Comandments or watching a rock show...it was confusing.

one of the greatest performers of all time made statement that is still true today:
