My Answer!

Recently a co-worker discovered Billy Graham's "My Answer" column in the Sentinel. It used to be under "Dear Abby" with the comics, but apparently has been moved to where its target audience can more easily find it on the obituaries page.
I usually don't bother to read it as the questions he choses to answer are too obvious as to what his answer will be. They typically run something like:
"Dear Billy, I'm thinking of becoming a satan worshipper...should I?"
"Dear Dr. Graham, I read that Jesus loved a prostitute, is it ok for me to love prostitutes also?"
"Dear Billy, I dress all in black, post on goth message boards, and choke a chicken on a regular basis. Prove to me the Bible says this is bad behavior!"
His pat answers to complex moral and social issues can be mildly entertaining as was the case on this day:

The things I found amusing were:
"The Bible says concerning those last days that "the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur. ... (and) tormented day and night for ever and ever" (Revelation 20:10)."
Now if I am not mistaken, Satan resides in Hell which is typically described as a burning Lake of Fire with sulfur and torturing of people forever so it sounds to me like a case from Satan's point of view of "Oh no whatever you do, don't throw me into that briar patch!"
Also since this will happen "at the end of time" and he will be "tormented day and night for ever and ever" it sounds to me like for ever and ever won't last that long since time won't exist anymore.
Dr. Graham also does a good job of trying to get into the mind of Satan...kinda like how in movies cops have to try and think like a serial killer in order to catch him. I wonder how long each day, Dr. Graham thinks like Satan...hmmmm
I think that alot of this crap could have been avoided if God had just given little Satan a hug or two...
Also for you media watchdogs out there, when I was trying to find a link to the column, I found this first:
http://www.kansas.com/mld/eagle/7191994.htm
Which you may notice, seems to leave out many of the juicy bible verses. I wonder if the Graham organization appreciates having their column edited...especially since that news paper does not state that it edits the column for space allowances... Think of all the uninformed readers out there who don't know why they believe what they believe!
