Brian Froud could kick Amy Brown's ass any day...lol It seems to me she draws the same faery with different colors and adds different wings. I just don't think she's terribly imaginative.

And working at HT, I've seen that everyone has her tattoos.

But I think jinx has a Froud faery on her arm...and thats pretty hardcore.

(these are just my opinions)

i do like amy brown and all, but brian froud is a force to be worshiped. without him, we wouldn't even have labirynth or the dark crystal. he's so imaginative, looking at his works(especially the older stuff) its stepping into another world. and you can tell amy brown is a fan of his too. she has several prints that she just may as well have stamped his name on, sometimes the titles are even similar. but i guess you can't really knock that, what artist hasn't been inspired by another and based some of their own works on a particular piece. i just wish she put more on her own style into them instead of making it damn near obvious. she does have some beautiful work, unfortunately everyone and the fucking grandkids love it too and have tatooed it all over themselves. when i meet someone with a froud tatoo, i think i know that person is a true faery person. especially if its the older stuff, and i'm not talking "faeries" which is beautiful also, but has been released a total of 4/5 times. show me a tatoo from "land of froud" and you designated as the fucking shiznnit and a bag of chips.

and granted i appreciate that hot topic carries the world of froud line, but at the same time, i damn them for selling it to the general public. i damn them straight to hell for giving dumb bitches, with money that think "fairies are pretty", the ability to buy this stuff and wear it around like they are cool when they don't even know what the faery's name is, or what it means, or how to even spell "faery". i think the world of froud line should have been sold at world of froud, and froud conventions ONLY. it pisses me off when i see dumb little bitches wearing my shirts and when i compliment them on it, they don't even know who he is or anything about the froudian "culture". :kill:  :roar: :fire:

i need to stop now, because i could go on about this all day long.

Um, do I like dragons? Lemme see................Duh?
Yeah? Ya think?

Nene Thomas has some great dragon work and if I wasn't such a computer idiot, I would post a link. My avatar is hers and I own a couple of her pieces. I think she is my favorite artist in the "dragon art".
