THE BIG NEWS IN MY LIFE (please read)

Just a few of you on the boards know my news but i figured that i would share it with everyone....expecially those of my friends that i have a hard time getting in contact with.
I have been seeing dakarpsi who is not a very active member on kg but still and yet is a member....well i am now going to be a mommy!!! I went to my first doctors appointment thursday and all went well....i found out that my estimated due date is may the 14th. Im excited but at the same time very scared...but hey all things happen for a reason right? dakarpsi (chris) is being a very sweet and supportive guy and im glad that my family has taken it the way that they have which was unexpectantly well.
Im looking forward to the next swap meet (we havent had one in forever, we need to have one) i really need baby clothes...but hey i still have alot of time.... If any of the knoxgothic mothers out there have anything that they no longer need please tell me (example: clothing, highchairs, out grown babyseats, etc) it would be very much appreciated.
Paz, amor, y rana's

Congratulations! I've never had children or else I'd help you out. Of course, I love showers!

Yes. In the case of pregnancy, the reason is usually "unprotected sex".
If you're sure you're ready to have a child, and all that it entails, then congratulations. If you're not ready - prepare for a tough new stage of your life.
I had two little sisters born while I was 12 and 15 respectively, and I had to do and see almost all of their raising. And one thing I know from watching my mother is that even someone with the best of intentions can do a really crappy job as a parent. I see it all the time, women and men who obviously are just not good at being parents and screw their kids up pretty bad as a result.
I mean, shit, look how I turned out, and I had environments that were much better than many kids have.
A word of advice: never yell at your children. That just plain doesn't ever work. You have to get them, slowly and patiently, to understand things, or they'll grow up to be the kind of person who yells at other people because that's how they've been taught to communicate, and on and on, forever. And don't let them watch much TV, especially commercials. Those more than anything I think are a big reason people are more fucked-up now then they used to be.

I was a teen mom too. Congratulations!
My babies are all quite large now (11 & 13), so I'm not much help with the whole used baby stuff gig, put a good friend of mine just had twins... a boy & girl, & will therefore have lots of stuff by the time you have need of them.
If you need any help along the way... like if you have questions about stuff or need an ear to listen, just let me know. Enjoy every moment of this experience! It's priceless.

I know you said that you had to see to the bringing up of your siblings, but do you actually have children that you have raised????

Congrats!!! I don't have clothes anymore from my baby girl (born when I was barely out of HS) but if you need toys, we have those out the wazoo. If you need anyone to talk to or any thing else, just hollar this way.
