Is the anime night still on for next Monday? Do we have a play list or should we bring a few tapes/DVD's and just decide? and when does the blasted thing start?

i thought it was supposed to start on monday, but im not sure.

Yes, it's still this Monday. I think that the idea of just bringing some DVDs and tapes is a good Idea. The first thing twe will do is as a group, we will decide how we want to organize the get togethers and what films we really want to see. Then after that we can watch a flick or two.

As too Time I have to check with the staff tonight as when they can be there.
Official post will come after Asylum tonight or tomorrow as to times specials ect. However what I do know right this second:

Monday March 3rd is the start of festivities! and every 1st MOnday of the month thereafter. Weekly might be a possibility in the future depending upon attendadnce and participation.

Does anyone have an idea what the "playlist" will be? If one could be posted, that probably would help people decide when or if they should show up. That way, for example, if xxxx movie was being shown first or second and Jimmy/Joe/Bob had already seen it and didn't like it, he could show up later on. Just an idea. Might cut down on bitching...not that anyone on this board would ever bitch.

I almost forgot. Issue 2 of Ghost In The Shell 2 is out and it just absolutely rocks. Every Masamune Shirow fan out there should go and pick up a copy immediately.

Okay, so Anime night is starting on Monday March 3rd at 9pm, as for a playlist, I think we're going to play it by ear the first time. I'll probably bring Demon City Shinjuku, which is pretty PG-13 except for some brief nudity(breast shot) but still quite good. It runs about 82 mins. So can be a good starter unless someone brings something else like say *coughRobot Carnival*cough*. I imagine we'll do one or two before we do the main feature. I believe Arkady mentioned episodes of Evangelion which would be interesting as well. As for a main feature, since most anime doesnt run that long I believe, we could prob run a episodical instead for the main feature and run hour or so long stand alones beforehand. Of course I've been out of the anime scene pretty much since '95 so I might bow to superior knowledge and taste.

ok, so opening time is 9?? me and jason will be there (oh yeah, and post about there being a cover charge...hate to show up empty handed)
