Due to the fact that I always love the idea of a gathering of minds I say that tomarrow we go to the thinQtank for fright-nite friday. Ivey's is gone and I know some of you will be looking for something to do other than stare at this screen. If any other ideas are had throw them out.

Merc, I wonder if you are aware that they are having some kind of 70's retro music act there tonight. Personally, I love 70's rock, but I doubt there will be covers of Thin Lizzy or Led Zepplin. Probably more like CCR, or Sly and the Family Stone. :P

The ThinQtank is next to hannas in the old city, no cover and closes at 3:00 a.m. It is a bar and resturant, and also has live entertainment as tony mentioned. I have yet to find out when the band stops and the movies start, what movies will be played, and the drink price range due to the fact that I am a drunk.

Bands play inside, the movies are played on the back wall (outside). I think the movies usually start around 9 or 10.

oh yeah saw this when we went down for the rivers get together. the image is actually real nice for just being on a back wall, pretty close to drive in size.

It wasn't a bad night out but it did lack one thing, KG PEOPLE!!!!!!! They played pet cemetary and IT. The only person other than me was frost mourne who looked as if he was going to pass out for lack of food. Anyway, next time I hope to see more of my little creepers out at the creep show.

For the love of Jeebus, do i have to do EVERYTHING around here?

FROM DUSK TILL DAWN????????
IT??????
Pet Symetary is ok....

i mean, where these movies are good, are people retarded??? eh

ok, i admit i am too anal about horror films, only one of these IS infact a horror film.....for fucks sakes From Dusk Till Dawn, is a favorite of mine, but i would classify it as a comedy before a horror film, infact it is a action movie.

It....It's a drama.....you know, like what happens on the scene all the time....

ehh i say, ehhhh. I get to take a break for one friggin day, now i feel like i have to do SOMETHING to show you the true meaning of horror.

Horror often has comedic elements - your school girl outfit being an excellent example.

how was IT a drama? I thought it was a bad movie and did no justice at all to the book but it felt like horror to me anyway.
I mean the bad guy is a shapeshifting scarey clown who eats children. How is that not horror?

i was speaking of IT as the movie, not the book, being a drama.

and damnit i wasn't talking about the schoolgirl outfit, i was talking about decent horror films....of course after i thought about it, most of the things i call 'horror' would be called 'retarded' by most, so, nevermind.

Was There...

I really liked IT until the end. That stoopid spider monster ruined it all for me.

Loves me some Tim Curry.

A better question would be, "How is that not comedy?"

Hope to see you.
