Ok ... what time will the DJ's be at Ivey's? I got some tunes I want to bring by for you guys to play (mostly modern synthpop and new wave) ... maybe you can slip in the odd one or two in the midst of the 80's tunes. :)

While I agree wholeheartedly that this is an amazing song that I would love to hear, Vampires, was released in 1999, on the cd Nightlife. Not eighties.

But it is New Wave...so are we going to be playing anything New Wave, or are we sticking with just eighties New Wave?

Anyway, I'd like to request a few things as well...I would bring them with, but my burner hates me right now.

Red Skies at Night by The Fixx
Lips Like Sugar by Echo and the Bunnymen
Heartbreak Beat by the Psychedelic Furs
A New Dress by Depeche Mode
Monkey Gone to Heaven by The Pixies
Let's Go To Bed by The Cure
Blue Jean by David Bowie

YAY!!! Finally a New Wave night!!! WOOT!!!!

I second the Human League~" Fascination"

Also...

Gary Numan~"We Are Glass" or "I Die; You Die" or "New Thing In London Town".....There are more Numan songs than "Cars"

Missing Person~ "Destination Unknown"

Killing JOke~ "Wardances" or "Follow The Leader"

The Cure~ "The Walk" or "A Forest" second vote on "Let's Go To Bed"

Depeche MOde~ "Our Secret Garden"

The Smith's~"Hand In Glove"

Kajagoogoo~ "Too Shy"

That's all fer now...I'll see youse guys there!!!!!

Wow...great requests guys....keep em comin....

and it is my understanding it is a complete nu wave night...not just totally limited to 80s stuff, allthough i suppose thats where the bulk of the stuff played will come from.
