Why is it Clinton gets a hummer in the oval office and the republicans want to impeach . Yet Dubya lies , rather it be intentional or a misinterpretation of C.I.A. info , you judge that , about a reason for war , gets his war , and nobody brings up impeachment at all .

I agree that the Clinton impeachement was ridiculous, However he was impeached over lieing while under oath which is a crime.

As stated earlier the dubious nature of the case to begin with does discredit the case of any validity.

There are investigations that have begun about Bush's incident. So we'll see how that works out. I'm not interested in impeaching Bush, but I am interested in voting him out of office.

Trent Lott was asked to resign because of his seemingly pro-segregationist statements, yet Democrat Robert Byrd from WV remains in Washington. Robert Byrd was a recruiter for the KKK back in the 50's thru 70's, and has openly stated he "doesn't remember" if he participated in violent crimes against blacks.

Where's the media explosion over that? Who frickin' knows... the memo's gathering dust on a desk somewhere. It's probably got a coffee stain on it, too.

He wasn't impeached. He completed his full run in office. Maybe our presidents would do a better job if they were getting some.

Actually he was impeached by Congress. However removal from office was not selected as his punishment. Instead he was given a aristocratic rap on the wrist and told 'bad politician no intern'. The opposition took this and made a smear campaign out of it so as to ruin Gore's chances. Never mind that the wooden lug won in the first place, and daddy Bush's littlle boys spoiled the party.

Frankly if a single State can't get their electoral votes in line they should either be split evenly with the extra odd one going to the higher percentage or they should be thrown out altogether. In either case Gore would still have won. But since the court decided that All of the votes belong to the greater percentile winner (therefore disenfranchising the lesser percentile) we now have a gum chewing, gun toting, drug addled, egomaniac in the white house.

Being the good lil uber leftist that i am i have been driving my reps. batty with phone calls and e-mails on the subject.

To anyone intrested, i reccomend signing up on http://www.moveon.org/ They are really good about sending out up to date info. on what is going on, and when to call about what. They also frequently have mass e-mails that you can fill out and send on the subject to your reps. Not the most effective method of lobbying, but better than nothing for the concerned but lazy.

I'm a member of move on and have seen some progres made by this organization, they regularly send me letters to send out via email. All I have to do is review and send lol
