We rented this last night and really liked it. It stars Jean Reno(The Professional). It was filmed in France and Japan; thus, the dialog is in those languages, but it has been dubbed in English.
There are nifty fight scenes, things going boom(not as much as, say, Lethal Weapon), and HILARIOUS dialog and interaction of the charactors. This movie compares in no way with Lethal Weapon, just used that as an example of boom factor.
Reno protrays a bad-ass cop with kind of a "Clousou" (sp?-the inspector from Pink Panther)syndrom.
I highly recommend this one.
Can I let the midgets watch it? : violence, no gore, no nudity, shows a coffin going into the creamatorium, the humor is not crude, but younger children will not get it unless they are precocious. There are quite a few shoot-outs.
