for all you devil horned taco eating mo fo's in k-town-land there is a nice little mexican resturaunt that has a subway "get it your way" atmosphere and really good food.
Burrito Diablo
It is just up the streert from McKay's books next to Panera Bread on Kingston Pike. It is a little pricy but worth it.

Also good is Tijuana Taco in Farragut. It's in the spot that used to be a Mr. Gatti's. They make burrito's as big as your head right in front of you. Mid price, slightly more than fast food, but mucho better. Also..... they have fish. Boo got it, I liked it okay.

how far do they deliver? where are they based?
Just wondering because I hadn't heard of that, and we live just off of walker springs....... so, I want.
Can you give examples off of their delivery menu? Please?

Viva Fajita is located in Shelby Towers, which is just off of the western end of the main UT campus. Their quesadilla prices range from $8-14 or so, but at the higher end, you get two quesadillas, stuffed with meat, each the size of a medium pizza, give or take. I doubt they'd deliver out to Walker Springs.
And nothing beats Senor Taco.
Nothing.
Maybe we should gather there on Friday for my leaving.

HOLY HELL you have a senior Taco in this town where is it?

Well, don't get your hopes up -- to the best of my knowledge, Senor Taco is a mom & pop local place, given the dance parties they have on the weekends and the authentic fare they offer. But it's on Broadway, near St. Mary's Hospital and Fulton High. If you get off of 640, head south toward downtown. It would be on the right hand side, near a Sonic. Keep an eye out for the big sign with a leering taco on it.

And for you who are new theres also El Charo's (a local favorite) Jaliscos (giant meican buffet, with some interesting authentic dishes, beef with cactus, tounge tacos, etc.) The chaves place cant remeber how to spell, we even have the taco chain they have in Mexico City, (Taco Bell)

Burrito Diablo is yummy. Not too outrageously priced. I think it was just south of 6 bones for a big (not San Francisco big, but big) burrito. Lots of toppings to choose from, enough to be filling for vegitarians as well as the carnivores. Have not tried the tacos, but I'm a burrito man myself.
If you go near closing they may be out of a lot of stuff. No guac or sour cream last time I was there.

Check out Moe's on the strip..Same concept as Diablo but I thought it was much better. The queso rocks.

finally got to check this place out this weekend. I liked it, its alot like Moes on the strip (or maybe moe's is a lot like it) only a LOT cleaner, it dose cost a little more, and the side of chips you have to pay for is an insult. but there is good variety (well the same that comes with most mexican food, you know the same 4-5 basic items reworked half a dozen ways. My friend with me though felt it was good but he is willing to put up with the mess (and wait (last time at moes, had to wait 45mins) and saving the $1.50. IF you havnt tried either place they are like subway just with giant burritos.
