How do you manage to dig up threads that are like 3 years old? And why?
I was wondering that, too....
Someone must be bored.
Really bored.
I'm just that good at multitasking.

Bah, I hate IM.
If I want to talk to someone, I'll call them.

I was think, damn a lot of people posted on this thread that don't post very often anymore.
As to concur with Vader. Trillian sucks balls, and not in the cute way Paris Hilton does...nor in the slutty way Lohan girl takes lines of coke off of them.
No it sucks in that way ol G. W. sucks...

I don't play with any of them. Instant messaging is too demanding. I like the old fashioned method of emailing & waiting for a reply. I'll get to ya when I get to ya, dammit!

ok, as i said several years ago, when someone mentions anything about the "old fashioned method of e-mailing" or anything of the sort, i'm going to freak.
i am now freaking.
on an aside, IM isn't really anymore demanding than the old /query on IRC. especially using ircII.

I have to admit I really don't IM either. I did ICQ for a while but everyone types too damn slow (I'm a secretary so I can type almost as fast as I think). Plus the computer I had at the time was ancient and really could not handle much when ICQ was on.
I've got a new computer now but haven't taken the time to bother setting it up again.

It's not old-fashioned email until you use bang paths.

god fucking damn it, i almost managed to forget those. you're making me feel old now, and i'm too young to start feeling old, damn it.
next you'll start reminicing about UUCP, FidoNet, and/or BBS's.
(i'm
still working on bringing the latter of the three back - "ANSI or die, knave!")

And for those of you at a workplace that has internet access, but doesn't allow you to use/install IM applications. Here is something you can run from your browser.
