HR Puffinstuff
The Buggalloos
Lidsville
Dr. Shrinker
Zoom
Electric Company
Starsky and Hutch
Swat...

I remember all that stuff. From the first time around. I think all this came up on the old board. If I remember right I asked if anyone remembered Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. They were on Kroft Superstars along with Puffinstuff and Harry and the Seamonster.

Those were some tripped out shows, The Kroft's.

As for fraggle rock and the other 80s stuff, I remember that too. And Aurora and I watch Fraggle Rock everyday. She loves it.

I think anyone who was born between 65 and 75, just got completely saturated with pop culture. I think it's very telling that so many of our nostalgic runs are about TV shows and toys. We were the first generation to just be beat over the head with consumerism at every turn.

Mention Tobor, Big Trac, Thundercats, the 2600, Battlestar Galactica, Schoolhouse Rock, and, of course, Star Wars to any guy who was born in that 10 year span and you can see them mentally spiral backwards through time to sitting on the floor in their tighty whities (or quite possibly underoos) on Saturday morning cramming their face full of Count Chocula until they achieved a kind of sugar induced nirvana (or acid trip if you were watching Kroft's)

Wanna see a grown man turn into the epitome of the Peter Pan Syndrome? Say to him, "So did you ever watch Johnny Quest when you were growing up?"

Yes, but his legacy still lives on. :woot:
I think I like him so much cause me and my dad use to watch him together all the time, and I miss my dad.

JaNell, I thought you were in your early 30's...?

Oh, and HR Puffinstuff was scarey.

Let me add some of my childhood memories:
TV shows I watched before they were on reruns:
Bionic man (add women, dog, and Susquach)
The Increadable Hulk (Don't make me mad, You wouldn't like me when I'm mad)
Land of the Lost

Heres a character only true oldsters will remember:
Sigmund the Sea Monster. (If you don't know that one you are NOT old)

I remember where I was when the space shuttle "Columbia" Blew up on lift-off (school, teacher brought a TV in the classroom from the A/V dept after the Principle announced the disaster on the school PA)

Ah and those old kiddie political songs
<to the tune of Oscer Myer Weiner jinggle>
My peanut has a first name,
its J.I.M.M.Y.
My peanut has a last name,
It's C.A.R.T.E.R
If you ask me what I'll say
Jimmy Carter has a way of messing up the USA
