Gothic Horseback Riding.

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

here is how the pricing is done:

1/2 hour $10
1 hour $15
2 hour $30
Half day $75

Now, these are per person. also, we must tip the guide. It usually 15% of the total bill. But, we tip the guide after the ride.
Kids must ride by themselves if they are over 4 years old.

yep the owners are new, that is soooo schweeet!! And those prices are awesome!! I am soo excited about this. You know we could form two groups. Those that want one hour those that want two hour? Maybe? It all depends on how long the kiddies attention spans are. At what age do they require you to ride with as adult?

Can you tell I love the horseys? I used to ride everyday, but I haven't had any horese since I returned to K-town.

Come on Nem come with us. All the Monkeys will peel that bananna is you do..................or pad it for protection, depending.

we can do two groups. becca said that if we had a super large group, they would have to split us into two groups.

i am thinking we do this the at the end of june. i know it seems like a long time way, but kasi will be gone the the weeknd of the 6th, becca will be on vacation the next couple weekends after that.

what do you think?

I think that the last weekend in June would be great, give us all time to save up the monies.

Saturdays are better for me, As I can dictate when I work on that day. Sundays are a 50/50 chance. But if I know soon enough I can always ask off.

Barry Gwynn (3) and I will be there, I will ask my Jeremy if he wants to come to and my friend Belinda (plus husband and 2 kids under 4) is interested. I will have a total number soon. Saturdays are fine, Belinda works sat and Sun, but would be good for late morning, early afternoon.

If we have a "Group" those "Upped Rates" are Ridiculous!
I might be game if the price is right.
I used to be quite the "Horseman" in my Youth.
The ride BETTER be around some Badass scenery, otherwise it'll just be an hour-long "Pony-Ride" for about a 1-2 mile loop.
My income's been lacking lately, or I'd be a "Definite".
I really HATE those sorts of stables because I feel sorry for the Over-Worked Horses, but I'd still join in if this was a Group deal to spend some time in Scary Daylight in the Woods... (Paychecks Allowing).

BTW, there's a Term in the Topic-Title that Irks me...
"HorseBACK Riding".....
Where the Hell ELSE are you supposed to ride them???!!!!????!!!!

we may still get the orginal rates, but i am not sure.
from what i understand, there are four different trails up into the mountains. but, i may be mistaken. i know that they have 50 some odd horses and they "rotate" the horses that they tack up. the guide horses are usually the same, but i assure you that these horses are healthy, well fed and taken care of. my sister would not work there if they were mistreated in any way.

becca has been riding for many many years and she shows with her horse in dressage and english riding. her horse is at a seperate barn, around the corner form our house. i would not even make a suggestion on this sort of trip if i did not think taht she and her fellow guides were not capable and experienced riders. that was jsut to reassure some of you who are a little leery and apprehensive. karin has been riding horses since she was 6 months old with my sister. so if that is any indication...

ok, so next saturady, the 28th, we are "penciled in" but, i was not sure on time, so i will call next friday and let him know.

i need to know what time and whether we want an hour, two hour or if we are doing as pharinet suggested and take two tours. if we do that, we need to either have two rides at the same time or back to back times.

thanks!
