If you do , though, You can gain you Gothic Learners Permit...For 6 months you are not allowed to frequent any "scene event (Sanctus, The End, Temple...ect)" without a Gothic escort. After that 6 month probationary period...You're GOTH!...

Disclamer:This is just a joke...If you get offeded..*shrug*

I'd probably fail at most of them...heh. It would be fun to try though.

I hope you don't think I was being pissy with my earlier post...it was mostly that I was half asleep and just out of it so I didn't really word it as well as I could have. Sorry.

This IQ test, though amusing, is probably a bad idea. It escapes the whole point of what goth really is...

But.. but.. It's the first step towards writing an official KnoxGothic Rulebook.. which will finally give me something to read so I can figure out how it all works and play the game for all it's worth!!

Come on...Rules!!! No one said you had to live by them...you just had to know them. Kinda like The Constitution.

oh i totally agree with that notion of iq tests before children, but then again you do loose some of your mind when you have children so it would be interesting to see the before and after.

While I agree generally with the sentiment, I'm not certain whether to blame the loss of mental capacity on the children, or the children on the loss of mental capaicty. That they're related is quite evident, but the exact nature of that relationship is still under study..

And I still think it'd be pleasant to have a rulebook. Noone would have to take it terribly seriously, but it could be fun, a chance to set down some basic guidelines so newcomers don't feel quite so lost, a lovely chance at showing some of the cynical goth humor, and above all could be used as a means to celebrate the Knoxville Gothic history, and the lessons learned. Such as Don't Click on the Iblis Link, and Ten Things To Do with a Drunken Frat Boy. Just a good resource of classical gothic wisdom, wit, and the occasional social guideline for the otherwise oblivious. I know I'd certainly love to see what some of our longtime Scene participants have to share in terms of experiences, nostalgia, and warnings for the newcomers.

I believe we should make a manditory IQ Test at the age of 18.

At 16 you may get your Learners Permit for driving, but you can't get a licence until after the test.

If you get at least 51% or better, you can be part of an everyday society...
61% or better, you can take your driving test...
71% or better, you can breed...
81% or better, you can run for a political office, save presidency...
91% or better, you can run for Presidency...

50% or below, you get exiled from the country...

(Of coarse this will have some exemptions...mentally ill, mentally challenged, ect...)

If sentenced to life in prison, we send you off to China...have fun!
