Great, as always! Music was delightful, lots of good company, & the patio was fun. It was good to have Lupa back with us from paradise. I also enjoyed seeing my old friends Rob, Hillary, & Stephanie. Always nice to see Raven Lunatic & Vern out, as well as all my other favorite peeps.
I missed Frost & Shadow Dancer, though. I did get to meet Nareau & his lovely lady from Asheville who extended a tempting offer to come see their monthly goth event. Very tempting, indeed!
IHOP after was great, too. We got the crazy, strung out waitress, but she did a surprisingly good job with such a big crowd.

I'm sorry that I didn't get to stay for very long...but I did get to see Jinx & MistressMisery for all of .5 seconds. I'm sorry that I couldn't talk for long. I'll try to catch you two some other time. Maybe next time I may come out & actually stay for more than 20 min.
Zeo, thanks for the comfort...the comforting words just, meant a little more mingled with the scent of alcohol.lol. Much love.

Me, too - a couple was at the "Oh God" stage in the stall next to the door the last time I went to the bathroom...
It was cool, she kicked over her drink and an ice cube slid out from under the stall just as I was leaving.

See I told you guys crazy shit happens in the girls bathroom......

I am sorry I wasn't around to socialize much that night. I got sick at the beginning of the night and just recovered enough to do my set and sort of make the rounds. I'm glad everyone had fun.
BTW, we're going to crank back the fog machine next time around. It was bothering me too.

Instead of a fog machine, you could just use some ammonia, bleach, & dry ice. That makes a nice fog, & I don't think anyone would complain...well, maybe a few survivers.lol. I'm just joking ere obviously!

i love the fog machine personally
gives it that gothy vibe.

Well, it's not that the fog is in use but that it's output was a bit high. We'll back that off a bit and it will be breathable.

Or you could go the other way. Was in a Pub in Bedfordshire (think it was called the grape vine) and the band playing had set up quite a few machines, you couldnt see the leanght of your arm it just disapeared into a white fog, now that could make for a very gothy Santus

Great Sanctus

A wonderfully warm Sanctus... the true first Sanctus of Spring, no matter what the calendar said last month. We missed you, Jenn! It was nice to meet you, Gothlace and Jessica. Should I be worried that as many men as women "fuzzed" my newly buzzed head? It was great to see the hardcore freaks out and about - you know who you are. Why were the cops so bloody interested in us this time around? Here it is Wednesday night and I'm still recovering; I must have had a better time than I remember, or maybe it was because someone was buying me drinks this time around. Those Dirty Bong Waters have no kick at all individually, but pile a few on top of each other and the effect is improved. Well, I could say a lot more but it would only get me and a few others in trouble, so I'll keep my mouth shut - feel free to make up your own shit. (OK, so why did I just get an image of Mr. Hanky wearing lipstick?) I'd better go before… ah, never mind…

Or, just for kicks, use the fog machine full blast 'til about 10:30, then use a bubble machine for the rest of the night. I don't know why, but it seems amusing to me....but then again, I like to be enigmatic too much.
Actually, to be serious for once, you could not use the fog machine at all, & just use the lighting to build atmosphere. I know that you do already, but you could use all one colour, such as purple. This allows you to have a dim, goth feel to the place, without sacrificing visability. This could be easily done with gels, as I'm sure you already know. Well, just an idea...
I'm gonna stop now, because with all the talk of bubble machines, & purple lighting, I'm just sounding too homosexual...

Now, granted I haven't been around that many bubble machines. Call me paranoid after the Nashville experience from The Tunnel with liquid on the dance floor (granted it was different because it was kerosene), but an excessive amount of bubbles on a concrete dance floor may not prove to be extremely conducive to dancing standing up.
I like the colored lighting idea though.

I think we need to have a foam party sanctus, but we should be warned in advance, so we can dress and shoe ourselves appropriately. But it just sounds like fun to me.

I think that all of them are great ideas, but as Shannon said, please give us warning.

Foam dancing can be fun...I remember going back in the day of Moose's Music Hall. Sure there were a lot of sorostitutes and frat daddies there but I had fun regardless.

I totally agree. A good lighting set-up is needed, not a smoke machine.
Besides, we provide our own smoke.
