I love babies!!! They are sooooo cute!...So its a boy? Cool!
.......Personally I am not sure- though my mom says that I WILL CHANGE MY MIND - that I ever want to have kids- that is go through the birth process.....I plan to adopt and make at least four unwanted, parentless little boys and girls feel at home and loved. I think that's a good plan!
yeah, i went there for my ultrasound at 22 weeks (now 26) I have the same doctor that delivered me...James Hemphill. I had my first checkup since the doctor and it had only been four weeks but i have puttin on 10 lbs in those weeks...lol....guess i need to stop eating...
How many kg pregnancys do we have going on now? Ive lost count...lol... we should all have one big shower for eachother....would be fun...
"Why is the rum always gone?"...or in this case vodka....oh wait...nevermind.

lol When J.J. and i went to our childbirth classes they had a stuffed placenta. It looked kind of like a Cthulhu creature. Needless to say, J.J. was fascinated.
i told him he could play with the stuffed toy placenta as much as he wanted, but when the real thing comes to behave himself and leave it alone.
So, that's our guildline on appropriate placenta play. It may be different for other couples. Maybe someone should write an article on the proper etiquitte for the situation.

I *finally* got approved for TennCare yesterday. It's only taken for freakin ever.
I'm 17 weeks, and thinking about Lisa Ross center too. I really want a sonogram asap since up till now I've had no prenatal care. The doctor that delivered my daughter is now at Ft Sanders and I highly recommend you don't go to him, any of you. Dr Elam, he was a jerk. Lisa Ross was my neighbor growing up and it's going to be weird going to the birthing center and not seeing her. An amazing woman.
Karla are you going to use the center and have a home/center birth or have them meet you at the hospital? I think I'd rather have this baby at a hospital, with my midwife with me. That way if anything goes wrong I don't have to be transported across town. I wish I could do it at home but I live in UTK housing, and there's probally laws against it.
I have heard bad things about this Dr. Elam as well.
I'm going to try to have him there. I wanted to have Madeline there, but went too long after my water broke and wasn't dilating enough. They transferred me to UT (their hospital partner at the time), and it wasn't that big of a deal. They went with me, and Linda came back for the birth. I was just pissed that I couldn't do it the way that I wanted to.

congrats!! it's a baby!! and those are excellent pics....when my nephew's ultrasound was done he was giving the finger. the tech checked several times and then printed a pic of it.. I wish I had it to post...
