So, is this an Ivy's policy or is this just something that you two decided. Most establishments are okay with kids, so long as they are there with their parents. No one is going to let their kid drink or cause trouble for the bar. Legally, the parent is responsible for the underager, so if they are raided the bar has no responsibility.

I just find it strange that anyone would say, "You can't bring your kid in here." That's just stupid.

the way it was explained to me as long as the kitchen is opened ivys is considered a restrant like an o charlies or hooters after 12 the kitchen closes and then its considered a bar
