My two cents: Saturdays are lame anyway. Im glad that theres finaly something like this for us :shudders: goths. I never really liked fiction that much anyway even though it was the only place to go.

Are you people going to Sanctus because your on this board or to hang out and mingle with people in the scene? Being a part of the other board should have no basis as to whether or not your going to go to the other Goth night. You go to the club to hang out and enjoy yourself. NOT to further some idiotic pseudo-political agenda. Choosing to or not to go out to a club based on your membership on a message board is possibly, no IS, one of the saddest things I've seen in my life. Base whether your going or not on if you want to hang out with others in the scene on a Saturday and listen to the DJ's playing.

You are absolutely right. You should go to a club because of the music, and you're friends, and etc. That's why many of the poeple who don't like the agenda of the private forum which may not be named ARE still going to the Black Ball.

But, within a community, or even a nation, planned and aggrivated division will cause a problem, period. Everyone has the right to their opinions of the situation, and their right to express it, no matter how "sad" you think that may be. I asked questions, and received responses. That is the way rational people communicate. It is important to understand the causes you support and the reasons behind them, and this can only be achieved through thinking and questioning. I despise the nasty comments on this thread, and the "fuck you's" and so forth, because they inhibit healthy communication.

I think debate is natural and necessary. Debate, not slander. Things could have been handled better, but they were not, and now there is civil unrest. It happens. No matter how small the issue, it's okay to express and scrutinize your understanding of things. AND, yes, you should base decisions not only according to personal politics, but what will in the long run bring you happiness.

I have to throw in my copper coins on this one. This site for all intents and purposes is just a glorified email account. You know when you check your mail you may have up to 1000's of emails about your credit, webcams, penis enlargement, and how to assemble a likeness of the twin towers out of spigetti ? Same thing here, only here it is people that you don't want to talk to, people having a pissy day, and the like. From this day forward I will actively make it my goal to throw all the nonsense back into this overly serious site. You act as if this site is about shitting on other peoples day and furthering your own personal agenda when I thought the purpose of this site was to further communication in the scene and get more things planned for the common good of ALL creatures of the night.............But then agian again just a burn out who nobody takes seriously anyways.

Those of us that are a bit away from the scen may not be into all of the politics, but I know that Shaggy, Painmonger, and myself had a great time at Sanctis, and we are planning on attending the Black Ball this Saturday, as well as other events in your neck of the woods.

I think that events like this, in multiple places, can only be good for the scene. I know they were in Chicago. If you get good music, good atmosphere, and great people together, then invariably, a good time will be had. Kudos to all those who posted before and said they would be there...I know we sure as hell will. (At least Shaggy and myself that is)
