If the problem is that I didn't play music which was appreciated as being appropriate, that can be solved. It's not like I couldn't do a goth-industrial set; I just would prefer not to since that's what most of the other DJs do.

But, you know, if I have to play Skinny Puppy and Nick Cave and Legendary Pink Dots and Leather Strip and stuff like that exclusively, I have no objection, since I do like that stuff.

most of our dj selections have been quick decision lately with the situation with the new venue, that and we only get to use 2 djs per night instead of 3 like we used to, so be patient , your time is coming

Variety is great but I hope that you guys donâ€™t permanently remove Safety Dance from the lists! I know that I'm new so naturally it all seems fresh to me, but Iâ€™ve been looking for a club that played things like that for a long time. I got stuck with grunge and stuff from Sir Mix-A-Lot for my prime dancing years. If it had not been for synth driven things like NIN and Ministry during that time I might have been tempted to take and ice pick to my ears. Ok thatâ€™s a bit dramatic but you get my point.

I have to concur with Ryng on this one. I was singing along with most of the songs I heard there, and considering most of those songs are only ones I hear on my own entertainment system it was certainly a blast to hear them in a place that other people actually *paid* to go to and listen to said songs. To quote my friend Vanessa "Wow, you really aren't the only person who listens to these songs. I wouldn't recognize any of them if you didn't have them on your computer." it was an extremely refreshing experience. Never, in my wildest dreams, had I expected to hear "Magic Dance" at a club, much less see people dancing to it.

Considering that it's a song i've been enjoying and dancing to since my very early childhood and that i've heard thousands of times, and I still love it, I doubt my opinion will change. I do tend to be fairly fickle and get tired of stuff quickly (I'm a gemini, it's what we do), but I've also got enough Taurus in me that once I find something I truly love, the enthrallment lasts for a lifetime. ;P

Yeah, Sanctus definitely needs more Nick Cave. "Stagger Lee" especially.

I'm back home in Colorado now. I just wanted to say what an absolute BLAST!! I had at the Fashion Sanctus! You guys rock!

Thank you again my models: Joseph, Chris, Sabrina, Kelli, and Jennifer. You made the clothes come to life with real finesse.

I enjoyed meeting so many of you as well. Mother Mo, you are one terrific person... George, keep on dancin'... Trance... you are a real kick in the pants... meeting Jeff of Last Dance was super and I hope we get a chance to work together... and to all of you whom I met but failed to recall names, thank you for being there and showing such a warm welcome to me and my art.

Rachel... thank you for the opportunity to show and sell my art through your very cool space: Wasted Potential.

And last, but never least: Bone Boy and Shadow Dancer: I just love you to death (how very goth) Thank you over and over for the fantastic time... seeing Elvis' underwear was a moment in time I shall never forget...

I hope to come back again, so keep the light out for me!!

my friend went for her birthday, didn't tell me she was going and had a great time.

i couldn't have gone anyway, i broke my foot and it was not danceable or even "stick in a pair of heels"able. :-(

i'm coming back to town for christmas though, so if one is convenient i will definitely make it! :twisted:
