Cocteau Twins Reunion Nixed

Oh bother, said Pooh....Just read this bit of news on SG, thought I'd share:

The Cocteau Twins were slated to reunite for a performance at this year's Coachella Festival in California, and fans were heard to say, "Yay." Alas, that dream twas not to be, as Chart Attack reports the message posted on the festival's website:

"It is with regret that Cocteau Twins announce they will not be performing at the Coachella Valley Music Festival on April 30 as had been planned," reads the message. "Due to personal reasons, member Elizabeth Fraser has decided that she is unable to participate in the reunion, and apologizes for any inconvenience this has caused."

The band's official website confirms the sad news:

It is with deep regret that we confirm the news that Cocteau Twins, at the request of vocalist Elizabeth Fraser, have cancelled the planned reunion performance at this year's Coachella Festival on 30 April. No future plans for any reunion are currently being made. Our sincere thanks and apologies to all the fans and media who wrote to us expressing your enthusiasm and support.

Maybe they realized they weren't that broke yet.

They were prolly the main reason I wanted to go to coachella (I've already seen bauhaus and bright eyes). So, maybe they'll do it again and I can actually go.
