Go West Young Man (Cookville toward Nashville info needed)

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

Go West Young Man (Cookville toward Nashville info needed)

Post by Scorptrio »

Greetz to all whom I haven't seen lately! The rumours of my death are all true, but Hell can't seem to keep me down.

There are trips to Nashville in the near future and Cookeville looks like a good half-way point, so I'm interested to know about the better places to eat and/or spend the night. Anything between Cookville and Nashville would be convenient and your recommendations are appreciated. Nightlife isn't really expected (else why would everyone from Cookeville drive to Nash- or Knox- to party) but if anyone knows the best fun spots around Cookeville, please let me know.

Thanks and watch out for cracked mirrors.

Hello. I live about 30 miles east of Cookeville. There's not really that much of interest to do in Cookeville, I have to say. There are a good selection of restaurants off the interstate in Cookeville, however. But as for Nashville, I've had fun in the past going to NashvilleGothic's Salvation Sunday for a change from the Knoxville scene. It's every Sunday at 9 pm(central), at Club NV. It's a goth/industrial dance night which is a lot like Sanctus.

I suggest for dinner Crawdady's or Mama Rosa's, if you like either Cajun or Italian.

To Mama Rosa's
exit 287 go right off the ramp
at the 5th or 6th light (i forget exactly it is just past the kmart shopping center on the right and there is a kroger across on the left) hang a right onto Jackson
then hang another left at the first light and it is up the hill in the right.

To Crawdaddy's
Exit 287 go right off the ramp
go about 2 miles give or take
make a left onto Broad street
you will find yourself after about half a mile in one of those quaint little bits of town most small towns have with the old refurbished buildings. just before the road ends at the little old depot (you will see it) Crawdaddy's is on the right.
