Knox County Skools

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

I know that some of you have kidlets of the skool age variety and I am wondering what the best/worst knox co skools are in your opinion...also if you'd tell me what areas they service I'd appreciate it.

I'm lookin to move to Ktown.

I personally went through the West Hills Elem, Bearden Middle and Bearden High School trio. It was actually a pleasant experience.

Karns and Farragut High Schools blow goats. If you can handle not being in Knoxville but being near it, Maryville has good school that often rank very well in the state.

I went through East Knox Co. Elem, Carter Middle and Holston Middle, and half of my freshman year at Gibbs High. East Knox was a pretty good elementary school. Though the rest of the schools I went through lacked. These schools serviced NE Knox Co. all the way closer to the city limits near the Holston Hills and East Towne areas.

Good luck on this - even most of the Magnet schools failed in one area or another last year!
