If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

"The Watchmen" adapted to film

Post by Arkady »

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - British filmmaker Paul Greengrass, who shot the summer hit "The Bourne Supremacy," is set to direct "The Watchmen," a project based on the seminal DC Comics limited series of the same name.

So holy err.... hollywood (even though Paul is British)gets a chance to screw up another Alan Moore classic. It's too bad they couldn't get Aronofsky to helm it, but The Fountain is a huge project which is going to take a while(I thought Pitt was to be the lead role). We'll see if Greengrass can reverse the trend. Might have to check out Bloody Sunday to see what kind of vision this guy has, because Alan's is brilliant.

I have SOOOOOO waited for this one to get to film... however I fear that the big screen may or may not live up to the comic series.

I just hope they get a SERIOUS budget to work with on this one. The special effects even in CG to do this one right will cost a fortune. Guess I just have to cross my fingers and hope.

For those who have not read the Watchmen... It's probably one of the greatest graphic novels ever done.... go find a copy and read it!
